Did anyone ask him Or Amazon what he's getting paid?

Scorsese fans don't deliver death threats to critics over reviews.

Jon Bernthal was definitely unlikable in it (as was Michael Pena). Both intentionally though. Logan Lerman pulls off the impressive move of being more punchable than Shia, however.

Out of ALL the passive agressive comments on the AV Club, this is the most bizarre. I'm passive aggressively judging you myself for it.

I liked the aesthetics of Fury, a lot. Unpleasant, gross, and dirty. Definitely not an interpretation of WW2 seen very often, but I imagine a lot closer to what life on the front lines was like than more sanitized versions. It also pulled off the impressive feat of casting a small crew that includes Shia Lebeouf

Are Nolan fanboys still out in force in 2018? Though, I seriously do think people metaphorically screaming at each other over the internet roots with the Dark Knight reviews.

Reporting from the front lines of Monroeville, PA.

Only a few really stand out as screen stealing performances. The dialogue being mostly characters stating their intentions again and again doesn't give them a lot to work with to be fair.

Actually the Greyjoys are akin to vikings (wish the show made their look a little more distinctive in this regard), but I'm fine with a pirate version of Euron.

Saw him at a local pop culture convention in my hometown a year ago. He showed up wearing a suit(!) to sign autographs for the ragged, uncouth patrons. It was both sweet and a little sad.

Too soon for Martin Landau jokes!

I thought the interpretation of Euron was pretty cool. So many of the performances and line readings on the show are so stiff and wooden to have that dude swagger in and just spit his game was a nice change of pace.

If only more AV clubbers had your honesty and forthrightness!

Buyer beware, I think Diary and Survival are for completists ONLY. I found Diary laughably amateur. Its student film level quality. I remember Survival being a little more professional looking but incredibly boring and small scale. Sort of a proto-Walking Dead.

Yeah, my first thought was the Dead films, but its a tossup between Dawn and Creepshow as his best for me. Its got a gross, offputting (but in a good way) vibe that holds up as such. Just the look of the film makes me kind of queasy (as intended, I'm sure.)

Hard-hitting. Yes!

Still around! Between taking on a new position at work which provides less time for wasting time online and the overall decline of this website and commentariat I'm far less of an AV Clubber these days, but so it goes. I'll be around for The Deuce I think. (Good discussions about Game of Thrones are a lost cause)

Caught up on the first season the past 2 weeks and THIS should have been heralded more as the Show of the Spring/Early Summer over the dull and pointless Leftovers S3. I wish I had been watching week to week over that slog on HBO.
