SoA Commentariat Accountability Thread:

The theater got the better end of that exchange.

You think a Jodie Foster vehicle from a first time director gets a newswire otherwise?

You're thinking of a Cameron Esposito comment section.

And the award for The AV Club's attempt squeeze some more clicks out of a pretty innocuous story by shoehorning the topics of Star Wars, Donald Trump, or Marvel movies into a headline goes to…..

If the hypersensitive TV critic types didn't declare it "Problematic!" right off the bat, they'd have a good think piece with another silly (but slyly understated) horror show in Salem this year. It involves the town trying to keep out French and Indian War refugees(!) and even some town elders floating the idea of

You're not wrong. Its fans are small in number but very vocal. I think now that its on Netflix and more people have access to it, people are in for a rude awakening. I can't help but fell that show was a bill of goods sold to people that like old horror, prestige tv, and good writing.

1 season - Flesh & Bone. Sleazy, prestige-y, over the top balerina nonsense featuring load season of nudity, sodomy, strip clubs, incest, and more! A blast for the whole family. 8 episodes and out. On Starz.

That's some advice this show needs.

Growing up on the 90's animated X-men, Apocalypse is a pretty faithful adaptation of that style. Even the pathos grudgingly being carried forward from the earlier darker movies worked for me. I'm one of the few People on The Internet that liked the Magneto breakdown scene.

ESPN NFL 2k5 was actually a sim-ier game that still managed to be fun to play unlike Madden which I've always found to be a chore across about 4 or 5 generations of systems.
I thought the NFL Street games tapped into something fun, too.

49ers or GTFO. Dropping back 7 yards into the end zone with Joe Montana and throwing the ball 114 yards through the air to Jerry Rice or John Taylor 7 yards deep into the opposing end zone was my preferred offensive game plan.

A couple months out of the year, I'll get the Network to watch some old stuff. Currently some random mid-90's ECW in which the out of the ring promos and skits hold up so well. I could probably watch a 24 hour loop of the 'Pulp Fiction' promos (of course, if they included Misirlou).

The sentiment was right. Just too much blabbering from the Deadman. It just should have been more Taker going down the line sizing each guy up like an officer inspecting the troops for battle.

Adjusted for inflation, Billy Zane's The Phantom made $870 million dollars world wide.

The rights will have to be pried from Warren Beatty's cold dead hands. The bottom-dollar documentary that he made a couple years ago to retain ownership where he reprises the character(!) exists on Youtube.

His review of the project will be posted later today.

Too much pot to remember.

Its a start.

I don't care about that interesting story full of nostalgia, sex, and drugs. I want this comment section to be like every other one. An echo chamber of rage against those that disagree with me.
