I'd tell Leon to get the sled but TV critics from said publications have already used it to drag Nic Pizzollato and Terence Winter out to the woods.

She very well could be, of course. What's interesting is that there are limitless possibilities with the show. For instance, are we going to explore Hopkins and Wright outside of the control room in the (presumably) future?
Seems like an appeasement to the loud, angry TV blogger crowd with a focus on a female protagonist in the trailer. Big ERW fan as she was the last good character introduced in True Blood and brought it in The Wrestler.
You must be a very lonely and scared person then.
Oh, I have no doubt its aged horribly (if it was ever really that good). I just have a soft spot for that late night junk that was a fixture on the premium channels when I was a young Cy staying up to catch some Real Sex. Speaking of which, I saw HBO added their animated Spawn series to their on demand service. I'm…
This nonsense isn't really worth a newswire. Just an excuse for the usual suspects righteously indignant to get all riled up.
You're right. Macbeth was a big hit. Solidified by an in-class showing of the Polanski Macbeth.
Isn't Beowulf sort of a "this isn't that bad to study" book/poem for most 11th grade English students. A story about a dude fighting monsters goes over a lot better than Great Expectations.
It finally happened. A Perversions of Science reference! I've been waiting for the day that this sleazy relic of 1997 HBO is rediscovered. Hitler was a space alien! Robot nudity!
That's the spirit! Now go into another unrelated article and write a paragraph passively aggressively talking about what I said and how it offended you. That's the AV Club commentariat way!
The opening 90 seconds are the best opening 90 seconds of any movie. Any. I went in expecting something special and ol' Harmony wasted no time blowing my mind.
I'd argue an exception can maybe be made for Chinese buffets if you want to go out for lunch at work and fall asleep at your desk in the afternoon. Maybe.
You aren't righteously indignant enough for the AV Club.
Random Harmony Korine-related movie that no one's heard of/weekend recommendation: Manglehorn.
I loved Spring Breakers. It would totally make my Top 100. My reading of it would probably ruffle some feathers, but it was my takeaway. Basically hot, young, white girls can get away with anything, to the point of almost literally being bulletproof when storming a heavily guarded drug kingpin's mansion. If you're…
Ummm, ok?
I watched Everybody Wants Some this week, too. The "feel" of the first weekend of college was perfect. Plus, Linklater's decision to cast guys that looked like college athletes was pretty admirable too. It really added to the authenticity.
I remember that summer, too. Before on-screen channel guides, if I saw the pre-movie content warning of PG-13 for "Adult Content", I knew it was Last Crusade time. It was a little ridiculous but I had no complaints.
"Problematic Tweets" would make a good band name.
OP edited their post and stepped on my Dawes reference!
