I find it hard to blame Snyder when the movie was fundamentally broken at the screenplay level. For instance, the best scene in the movie, Bruce experiencing the Zod/Superman fight from ground level worked solely from a visual standpoint.

I've read about a half dozen of his books and, for what its worth, Diary was the only one I didn't finish. Maybe its just a Diary thing.

There was nothing else like it at the time. I was hooked from the first episode. The high production values and scenic locations made it seem "live" and so much more vibrant than anything else airing at the time. The contestants and some of the storylines from the first 3 seasons are seared into my brain.

Speaking of unbearable pop culture media personalities, where was my opportunity to snark on that atrocious Bill Simmons HBO promo, AV Club? He's edgy now. Dropping f-bombs. Look out!

The Walking Dead Fans

Hard to say. In terms of online buzz, a lot, but the ratings weren't bad for Starz and The Borgias premiered on Showtime at the same time and made it three seasons.

Getting to watch The Sopranos fresh. You lucky, lucky person. Not only is the show a masterpiece, but it pulls off the feat of getting better deeper into its run.

Upvote for the Camelot mention. It was by no means A Great Show in its first and only season, but it deserved better than it got.

You must have missed the Daria- thigh gap one this week.
