If its a fluid timeline, I'd like to see Miller take another chance by eschwing the wastleands and show off a more fully realized version of the not-yet-that-apocalyptic world of the 1979 original. Its kind of the odd man out at this point while also in some way being the weirdest of the 4 despite having the most

TR and Bullock were friends til the end of their lives. Roosevelt actually wanted to round up a bunch of old timers including Bullock to go fight in Europe in the first World War!

Watch it! I know we've discussed The Sopranos before so I know you have good taste. Plus you probably avoided them due to spoilers but I think you'll find in the comment sections of the episodes, a lot of smart, savvy commentors here liked it as well.

The Force Awakens will be the equivalent of the prequels.

That's not racist at all.

Mighty Joe Young was 1998 because people were on such a high and demanding more big creature in the city shenanigans after The Lost World and just couldn't wait to get more with Godzilla!

There's a small but vocal group of Starship Troopers supporters.

I just play one on tv.

So, like casting Jeff Jarrett in Spring Breakers. (Is that an obscure enough reference for everyone?)

Technically, domestic box office includes Canada, so "in the U.S." actually muddles the situation.

I remember the giant stack of previously viewed copies of City Slickers II for that I'd see sitting in my local video store for what seemed like the entirety of that store's exisitence. That and the Hot Shots movies. Thank you for spurring this memory.

You're not wrong.

I was thinking recently that Oz, out of HBO's back catalog, is the one that could best be revived for a one-off 8 episode run. Sorry, Al.

Between Miami Vice and TD S2, I think I actually like Pornstache Farrell more than the clean shaven version. Or maybe I just like misunderstood crime fiction more than others.

It was the show I was most enthralled with this year. Was Vince Vaughn's character's exit a little wonky? Yes. But I'll defend almost everything else about it.

Did anyone ask for this seemingly endless run of Jason Sudeikis vehicles? Enough.

I just never understood why The Powers That Be in the showbiz industry decided Blake Lively was the one to push in movies instead of Leighton Meester. I guess BL's blandness was more one-size-fits-all than the charisma Meester brings to the table.

I wonder if that "news" about some dreaded conservative guy's comments about Parks and Rec went up before or after your comment here….

The Problem Child franchise almost exists as some sort of fever dream in that its hard to remember it ever being A Thing. I remember it being relatively ubiquitous back in the day when I was the target age for it but its NEVER brought up even when there's nostalgia for everything from that era.

I'm almost nostalgic for the days when the ol' AVC put the time and effort into writing actual thinkpieces. Almost.
