You're burying the lede.
You're burying the lede.
Here lies sarcasm. It was killed by humorless internet commentators. R.I.P.
When I spent more time trying to figure out if he had a lazy eye than watching his performance is where I lost interest in his work.
Gawker for a multitude of reasons. Vox wants to be but is Quantum at best.
Master of None isn't just the name of a new Netflix show, its also their programming strategy.
Saw SPECTRE this weekend and was enjoyed it. It was structured like a mid-era Moore globe trotting adventure which isn't a bad thing at all. The opening Mexico sequence was beautiful (that (maybe) one take shot!) and shows that a bunch of extras with cool costuming is a more impressive visual feat than the empty cgi…
He was the worst part of much more than 2 seasons but I get the gist of your comment and agree.
I think the drop from A Good Series to A Bad Series is steeper from Lord of the Rings to The Hobbit. But this is speaking as a guy that grew up loving the Star Wars trilogy but finds them a chore to sit through now.
Hoe about Zam Wessel aka the bounty hunter from the beginning of Attack of the Clones? Being a shape shifter, the possibilities are endless plus I thought her purple outfit was pretty cool looking.
Nay.
Don't worry, the AV Club will have stories about strawman misogynists being angry about the trailer, the first TV spot, any last minute cast members being cut from the final version, the IMAX and/or 3D announcement, the review, and the opening weekend box office. Ghostbuster clickbait is going to keep the bills paid…
Ecto Cooler was green. Slimer was green. Ghostbusters was a hot intellectual property. I'd say the cross marketing was one of the most successful ever as people like us still talk about it to this day. Except for maybe Andy Capp Hot Fries, but no one gives a shit about Andy Capp.
I think it looks cool and different. It was actually filmed in the suburbs of Pittsburgh (draw your own conclusions on that) and no where near a mountain. David Morse in a leading role on a cable drama, though. How can anyone hate on that?
Look out, "Predator again". We've got a new challenger stepping up to take the crown.
That I do not know. However, considering the sequel was in theaters less than 365 days later, those in charge couldn't have been that eager to kill off a golden goose.
Its a love fest in the weekly comments so it will probably be safer to post this opinion here.
So that's the beginning of the end for UFC, right? Their last bankable star is a late-30's pro wrestler who hasn't even had a professional fight.
I watched the original Planet of the Apes and Beneath the Planet of the Apes (as the whole series is on HBO Go right now) for the first time in many years and was blown away because I didn't remember how good, how intelligent, and how bleak they are. Everyone knows the statue of liberty reveal, but do they remember…
On the subject of time, Rocky IV provided a well choreographed boxing match, two awesome montages with amazing 80's music, a memorable James Brown performance, robot hijinks, AND a flashback to the ending of the previous film all in a lean, mean 85 minutes. Movies today could learn a lot from that.
Sure. Why not? It couldn't be less souless and flat.
