I come to praise W. Earl Brown, not to bury him!

People always want their boogeyman, I suppose. (I also think that lousy insignificant blog post was intentionally drummed up by the movie's marketing division).
My tastes have definitely changed (for the better I think). Like a lot of people I grew up reading any Stephen King I could get my hands but I've found his most recent novels slogs written in a maddeningly utilitarian style. I think the key is to read what you feel like starting at any given time as opposed to…
Popular opinion at the time was that Forever was a more entertaining movie than Returns. Which is, of course, absolute nonsense in hindsight.
All quiet on the Blomkamp-Alien front since that week of release. Hmmmm….
All of the grounding in the real world was Milius as Stone's script was most likely unfiilmable with Conan fighting armies of mutants and the like.
Its been a couple years since I've seen it, so my memory of the plot is hazy but I can promise you Eva Green chewing up scenery as the villain and a Christoper Lee cameo.
I wonder if that early-mid 90's style of comedies that relied less on raunch and more on outcast characters dealing with the world around them will ever become in vogue again. The world needs more lighthearted fare like that I think. The first thing that comes to mind in recent memory is the Dark Shadows movie which I…
I sort of like Ray Donovan to a degree. For what its worth, the Season 3 premiere has been up for a week and I thought it was pretty good and potentially sets up a much more interesting and better season than 2.
"There you were with your head half in the toilet. Your hair was in the toilet water. Disgusting."
Or in the comments a lot of talk that "The MRAs will be coming here soon" but then no one of that ilk ever shows up. Maybe one guy wanders in at the end after everyone else has moved on.
Watching Predator every weekend will make you a goddamn sexual Tyranosaurus.
For a 10 year old (ugh) movie about the fashion industry its surprisingly not that dated (aside from trying to make Adrian Grenier a movie star).
Silicone Valley is a show on Cinemax.
Not many actors have a mystique anymore. Its one thing to be honest and candid in interviews but there's way too much (studio mandated?) pandering to appeal to the Comic Con fanboy crowd. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Douglas got a slap on the wrist from his Marvel overlords for this comment.

constant pearl clutching and white male self loathing
I hope the storyline about Amantha's job at the dollar store continues this season. I was strangely invested in that.
Lucy Hale as the hot sister and Maisie Williams as the studious one.
I choose to disagree with you, sir. I've been going through his bibliography recently and think he's a pretty good comedic writer. Yeah, everything's written in the same voice but I dig the absurdity that makes me laugh out loud at times. Oddly enough though, I thought Survivor, which a lot of people like, was…
SOA already definitively proved that.
