I really want Captain Hook and Jefferson the Mad Hatter to start a band together. All that leather and guyliner needs to serve a higher purpose.

What I love about that scene is that nothing bad ever actually happened to Cusack's character. She's insane and has found herself with a family that totally appreciates her insanity. Part of me always wishes she didn't die, came to appreciate the Addams' family, and actually stayed with Fester.

lol I knew that if I mentioned any of the cast specifically I should talk about how they were all great…but I was tired and wanted to go to bed. Anjelica Huston is fantastic in the film. Her restraint puts all the over-the-top elements into perspective. I enjoyed how Huston played the labor scene. It's understated but

Still working through Clash of Kings. I read five or six chapters last night but nothing has really advanced so far. I don't know if I like how Martin divided up the chapters. I feel like once I get really into one storyline it stops for several chapters so that by the time I get to that subplot again I have trouble

Pretty calm weekend. After the 90's lists on here I rented a couple films that I hadn't seen in a while:

If they did anything focusing on non-U.S. I'd love to see something on the Siege of Leningrad. The amount of shit citizens of Leningrad had to go through to survive is incredible and it deserves to be told in a way that isn't Enemy at the Gates.

How about something focusing on war nurses in the Pacific theater? Several of them were taken prisoner, many experienced war the war first-hand, were harrassed by military men from both sides of the opposing forces, and they had to do it all with severe pressure to act in a "lady-like" way.

He really was. The arm-wrestling scene between Jones and Jeff Daniels is great. Honestly, Infamous and Capote are great to watch back to back. They cover different aspects of the writing process with suprisingly little overlap.

I would have loved to hear about The Aviator. His role is somewhat small but there's an interesting energy between he/his character and DiCaprio/Howard Hughes. Plus, I do sometimes wonder about what it would be like to act opposite DiCaprio in full-on accent mode.

My father invited himself to see The Master with my brother and me (we didn't want to invite him because we both knew the film's content wouldn't match my father's entertainment interests). The handjob scene was awkward but not nearly as awkward as when my dad wanted to discuss how "sick" and "immoral" the scene was a
