Liked for your mention of Five Graves to Cairo (a film, btw, still not available on DVD). The chase through the hotel during the air raid was so well done.

This news is impossible. Everyone knows HIS HUSBAND WAS KILLED BY A MAN IN A YELLOW SWEATER
"Nothing suggested in the past 20 minutes has topped "smashy-smashy egg-man"."
Oh, man, that first time he sees the freighter is heartbreaking. It's almost a "suspension of disbelief" moment, for me, as I just remembered hoping it was impossible for a ship that big/advanced to not acknowledge this little life-raft in distress.
I really felt the dinner scene where Frances is with the new roommate/her friends and she has nothing to talk about but past stories to which no one else in the room could connect. That hit too close to home.
I'm a big fan of when the argument comes up later in the film: "Maybe you'd be more hydrated if you weren't jizzing all of the time"
I really don't know why we haven't been talking about how great Joel Edgerton was as Tom Buchanan all year. I felt like he was the only one who truly understood what he needed to do in the film and did so without reserve.
My favorite was Thor hanging "Mjollnir" on the coat/key rack in the apartment. Such a small, simple moment played to great effect.
I'm glad that the Bale/Saldana scene in Out of the Furnace made this list. While I think I liked the film a bit more than the reviewer (not really original but stellar enough acting that I didn't care) the scene between Bale and Saldana on the bridge reminded me of just how good Bale can be when given good material.…
You mentioned two of my favorites, so I'll add to what you've said.
Pretty excited to see Daniel Bruhl and Joaquin Phoenix nominated.
I'm very pleased to see Bruhl get the SAG and Golden Globe nomination. If he takes the fifth spot at the Oscars I still be happy.
It's difficult to say which I enjoyed more: Oliver's continual mocking of Barry's age or Diggle's continued attempts to annoy Oliver by mentioning the attraction between Barry and Felicity.
It's not that the horse tranquilizer was the best way. The dart had just been sitting around for a while and they both wanted to finally use it.
You know, it's been forever since I "'shipped" a couple but, damn, I want Oliver and Felicity to happen in a serious way.
To be fair, the fall is what really killed Count Vertigo, not the arrows. It was really more of a workplace accident. Although they will probably have to erase the total on the "number of days without a vigilante kill" sign.
"Remember, kids, play it safe. You don't know where you ex-wife has been." - John Diggle
The fact that Tim Gunn has foregone relationships because of his past experience really makes me certain that love is dead. If a man that classy can't find a partner than we're all done for.
When they poisoned the children is when I felt it. You want to go out being a crazy, murderous bigot that's one thing but, jesus, leave the kids out of it.
Tommy Lee Jones' hotel "stand off" in No Country for Old Men is pretty creepy. It's one of those moments where you're urging him to go into the hotel and to leave at the same time.
