I remember thinking the stabbing scene in The Village was unexpectedly brutal for this very reason. The moment is slowed down, you see the blade coming out of Phoenix's body, and then when the speed goes back to real time, Brody stabs him repeatedly.

Dude, I commute 30 minutes away from where I live, back and forth, twice a week and every single time I think something along the lines of "I hope this car doesn't break down like the woman in Zodiac." Terrifying.

We have a saying in my house that goes something like this: "Stephen King is only afraid of two things: Spiders and endings."

Sure. You'd hope that if they are going to go to all that risk (spending potentially millions of dollars on the off chance that Disney WOULDN'T shut your film down) the film would be worth all the effort.

Way to stand your ground! I hate giving up my footrest for people who aren't paying attention.

Thanks! I have never seen this particular ice cream in stores, but if I do, I'm buying it by the barrel.

I would put Magnolia on the bottom and move everything else up one, but yeah, Boogie Nights and There Will Be Blood are pretty even in my mind as favorites.

I feel like In Bruges is the perfect combination of serious and funny moments. That script is so well balanced, it's insane.

The "I can't believe they got away with it" was probably more about how
protective they are of their brand identification than the actual

The only thing I really, vividly remember from the John Adams miniseries is that it was the first time I'd seen a tar and feathering shown with all the gruesomeness that would accompany it in real life. It also did a good job of showing how much of a mob mentality a lot of the pre-war revolutionary activities were.

My birthday started about ten minutes ago (central standard time) so I had a birthday weekend in celebration.

Felicity: You don't want to go down there. It's literally floor to ceiling Salmon Ladders. Not worth the effort to even find the light switch.

I wondered about that. When the cops searched there last season the room wasn't concealed. Oliver made no secret that he was going to the basement in this episode. I just figured that the excuse would be that anything they would need from a storage area was in another part of the building.

So I like that in the entire time Thea and Roy have been running the club neither of them went down into the basement. Ever. I can't decide if it's completely implausible or it makes sense in a "I have people to fetch me things" kind of way.
