I somehow didn't watch any movies this week and instead went out and did things…with people. It was a very social week/weekend.

Will Arnett didn't show up for his nomination so it looks like Amy Poehler got the Emmy's in the divorce

I read that he submitted "Problem Dog" and there's really no way he couldn't have won with that episode.

I agree with your comments, with a personal "Amy Poehler should have won" addition. Modern Family is entertaining but when compared to some of the other comedies it doesn't come close…especially not last year. It's just a family sitcom without a laugh track/ live studio audience.

I will but only because I have a continuous suspicion that Damien Lewis is secretly an American playing a British man in order to play American servicemen in a kick-ass manner. It's like The Prestige in real life…minus Tesla and magic.

Julianne Moore's first time hosting (late '90s). She not only did a hilarious Lady's Man sketch but there is a Delicious Dish skit where the co-operative farm she's on turns out to be a cult. Favorite line: "Our boss' name is Chet."

I believe that's what they call a "win-win" for the television viewing audience.

What bothers me more about last year's nominees is the movies that didn't get nominated. The more films I watch from last year that didn't get nominated, the more I wish there had been better nominees. They could have easily replaced Extremely Loud or War Horse with Take Shelter, Shame, or A Separation.

Agreed. I'm glad they made it between five and ten pictures. I didn't expect nine films to be nominated last year. It shows that the weakness in the new system is when well-liked filmmakers have weaker movies out (Extremely Loud, War Horse, etc.). Even then, I'd rather it be a range than a set number, if only for the
