I tried watching Firefly and couldn't get into it, despite thinking I would love it beforehand. I realized I couldn't stand Nathan Fillion.

A self absorbed little douchebag who works at my local Barnes and Noble made me cry Friday night. Saturday I managed to make it to the Tom Brokaw book signing at the National Book Festival, so that makes up for it.

Same here and the NPG is one of my very favorite museums.

It is — I live a couple of miles from the National Portrait Gallery and there is a permanent exhibition of portraits there. I recommend popping in for a visit as it's really good. The National Gallery of Art has a few portraits by Gilbert Stuart. By the way, the Smithsonian is administered by the federal government.

I love rock photography and that photo of Brian May will be mine. Just as soon as I squirrel the cash away for it.

Yeah, the interpretation that Bedelia would cut off her own leg and know how to prepare human flesh, Hannibal-style, seems like a huge stretch. My thought was that Hannibal survived and came home for dinner.
