Check out the Chicharones, if you haven't already. They've been around for about 10 years, but I'm just now getting around to discovering them, and I like what I've heard. Josh Martinez has some pretty decent solo stuff as well.

Cowboy Junkies: Are they cowboys who are junkies or just people who are addicted to cowboys?

Rahzel's great, but I was referring to the original…

I found it slightly creepy, yet fascinating. It reminded me of the time I saw Zappa Plays Zappa, where Dweezil and the band played along with old footage of Frank. I can see why that would bug some people, but I also thought it was cool because that's as close as I'm ever gonna get to seeing FZ play live.

I'm sure Ray Manzarek is working to make it a reality at this very moment.

Love the profile pic, @avclub-f17b63d878e1e227361ddce49b95fecd:disqus , Hampton in the house!!

It's certainly debatable. Personally, I like Biggie better, but I'm hardly representative of rap and hip-hop culture. My most beloved rap icon is the Human Beat Box.

It's so re-watchable because of all the different angles, remixes and what-not. I've owned it for about 10 years now and have never gotten tired of it.

It deserves more hits than I got grey hairs

I'll be watching my Criterion Beastie Boys Video Anthology tonight and perusing Youtube for the videos not included.

Listening to it right now. I remember when it came out, everybody thought the Beasties had fallen off because they didn't put out Licensed to Ill part 2. The first time I got stoned and listened to it was a revelation, been on my playlist ever since.

This one's for you, Cookie…

Yes! Even the album cover is pissed off.

Most definitely, especially Jizzlobber. I usually go for King when I'm mad, though. It just starts out angry with "Get Out', fluctuates between rage and other emotions throughout, and ends with the truly cathartic "Just a Man'.

So you listen to it when you're angry?
