For further reading, Buzzfeed recently published an Intervention oral history.  What I found really interesting was the series creator initially imagined it as a lighthearted MTV show in the same vein as those afternoon, post-TRL shows that I shamefully watched in early aughts.

I have not nominated Julie Bowen.

Can I get an amen?

I also thought it was a little far-fetched for him to assert that he didn't even know who she was. That said, I rationalized the fact that no one probably formally introduced them at the valentines party because everyone was busy hatching their own, self-involved schemes, and "making the rounds" probably fell through

I find "Coincidence Ostrich" gag really funny. First, it's completely ridiculous and zany, and I love it. Also, I think the gag once again calls attention to how dense and shallow the Bluths can be. The things that are actually connected (CW Swapigans) are lost on these folks within this universe, but the characters

Once again late to the party, but I kinda loved that Jordan Baker was portrayed as a Tamara de Lempicka painting come to life. Good stuff, Elizabeth Debicki.

She's apparently funny or something. That's how she charmed her way to all that start-up capital.

I thought the exact same thing about Phyllis Smith.

"TGS Hates Women" is one of my all-time favorite 30 Rock episodes, but I never thought of Kaylie and Abby being compared side-by-side (i.e. girl/woman presenting herself differently to others as some kind of tactical maneuver) because they are such different characters (age, motivations, interactions, screen time

Four years late to this party, and visiting during to a bout of 30 Rock nostalgia-induced K-hole at the end of the 2012-2013 TV season, I'm loving how absolutely incorrect this article is.

I actually kind of hated this episode, as I just found this way too long filled with unnecessary bits. Did we really need a brief overview of divas? Did we really need LaToya Jackson and the never-ending re-hashing of that horrific "IVEEEE WINTERRRRS" pronunciation? Did we really need"We don't have Charro to

Nothing productive to add, except that this is one of my favorite adaptations of one of my favorite books.

Agreed. It's like he reverts back to some childhood dynamic where he blindly worships his mother, despite the fact that he is now a big-time insurance executive.

Seriously. I realize it's not the same, but taking care of oneself works as a temporary solution to this sticky situation.

I adore Jinkx, but for some reason I've become less enamored with her over the past few episodes. While she's probably the most skilled queen w/r/t acting, singing, comedy, and overall general performing, I feel like she lacks grace under pressure. She's definitely not playing the victim like Roxxxy (ugh) suggests,

So does Trudy kicking ass on Mad Men plus this video mean that Allison Brie is having the Best Week Ever?

Eh, maybe it's not that unpopular of an opinion, but I always assumed so just because people love Manilla (I do!) and Raja (less so). I always thought the season was lackluster for the reasons you mention, plus some generally awful queens.

Agree completely. There was more emphasis on sewing/outfit making in Season 3, which (unpopular opinion alert) was my least favorite season. However, Seasons 4 and 5 included more acting/comedy/wit-type challenges, which allowed for the queens to really showcase their personalities and drag personas. IMHO, that makes
