I'd happily stay at a Prog Rock Hotel.

It's weird that the "hard rock" label is still marketable. Most subgenres of rock still exist in a diminished form, but hard rock just isn't there anymore except as a collection of superannuated bands playing to a dwindling base of graying fans. I've waited patiently for young people to produce their own analog to

I remember vividly the song and video for "High" because it was one of the dumbest music/video combos I'd ever seen. I knew it was special even at the time.

Eventually the Deathmobile comes for us all.

The Russians.

Agreed, the Beach Boys lead vocals have always been a huge turnoff for me. I rate the Carpenters higher than the Beach Boys, and that's in no small part due to the vast superiority of Karen Carpenter's singing.

I'll duck before I say the Carpenters made three orchestral pop albums that I rate higher than Pet Sounds.

King Crimson is fine for people who are too dumb to understand Gentle Giant.

There wouldn't have been reggae without ska, and ska is garbage.

Pet Sounds and Sgt Peppers get all the hype, but to me the most impressive orchestral pop record of 1966-67 is Days Of Future Passed. That record is packed with great tunes, but inexplicably that's escaped most peoples' notice. The orchestration is a matter of taste of course; some people dislike it, but I love it.

Gimme Moody Blues Days of Future Passed over either.

I too am immune to the charms of the Beach Boys.

This was the predictable consequence of the passing of old-time hockey enforcers and pugilism as a core component of hockey. It created a need for Canadians to do something to restore their reputation for toughness.

Nah, any hotel that caters to celebrity clientele is not going to allow mobs to harass their guests in the lobby. I think Uriah Heep is a good guess for a couple of reasons:

Could it have been Uriah Heep? They played L.A. in 1974. Gary Thain's heroin habit was out of control by then. It got him fired in early 1975. He overdosed in December and died.

Alan Smithee doesn't care what the studio does to his films.

Why does he torture us by not revealing the band's name?

Voivode will always be a cool title.

Lars doesn't deserve to wipe King Diamond's bottom.

Cold gin time again.
