BRMC
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

Harvey Pekar used to be an awesome/terrible guest back when Letterman was on NBC.

portishead
From the Current TV concert broadcast, the songs off this new album sound great. No more Geoff Barrow scratching, though. I guess drums are the new turntables.

mad men
Is "Mad Men" going to be added to the shows which TV Club reviews once season 2 starts up in July?

michelle williams
That looks sort of like Michelle Williams in the picture, but way too thin.

chicago record stores
Reckless Records has 3 locations in Chicago, one which is walking distance from my house.
Groovin' High on Belmont also has a great selection of vinyl, CDs, and dvds.

I'm tired of everyone fawning all over Tina Fey. Her ubiquity has given me a reason not to like her, when there really should be no reason to do so.

number one show?
"It is the reason Rock of Love has been the No. 1 show."

loved it
I saw this in the theatre and my friends and I all loved it. It was like a dream: completely fascinating and definitely in its own world.

"This Magic Moment" by Duane Eddy is the best thing on this soundtrack, and also completely different from everything else on the soundtrack album. Fits within the movie perfectly, though.

DF Wallace really hated Balthazar Getty, and really had a hard-on for David Lynch.

rooting for climactic death
I remember rooting for death only once:
When I saw "Gandhi" in the movie theatre, I kept chanting "die! die! die!" as the third act of that movie continued to drag on.
But that was like a 3 hour movie. And I was 8.

I thought it was going to be Tyra Banks as George W. Bush.
She pulled off that fat suit episode, so I don't see why not.

We're going to have to get Keith Phipps in here to settle the debate.

AOR
album oriented rock

street noise
I was underwhelmed by the tunes which came up. Even more underwhelmed by his commentary, but then he almost saves the segment with:
"It wasn't the cool "police siren at the perfect point in the song" kind of thing"

JUST
From the looks of the trailer, all they did was turn Radiohead's "Just" video into a full length feature.

That is very, very funny.
I will use that joke.
I will not give you credit.

Yep. "Quantum of Solace" is on Ministry of Sound volume 3.

# of discs
Just an idea for Onion DVD critics:
Could you disclose how many discs are in each release?
