Season 4
I had heard all about Season 4 being one of the great achievements in television history, and it just came out on DVD yesterday.

Fellini directing Booty Call?
I'd buy that DVD the day it hit the shelf!

vonnegut
I've read a few Kurt Vonnegut books and really enjoyed them. "Slaughterhouse Five" and "Breakfast of Champions" were great while I was reading them, and have both turned into films where I wonder to myself "is this really what the book was about?"

my memories
My last memory of Quiet Riot was seeing them at a Chili's in suburban Detroit.
No, they weren't performing there. Just sitting at the table next to mine having lunch.

Everybody say "Geddy Lee!"
—What?
Best bass player of all time!

But that was hilarious, because even though we know that Michael HATES Toby, I was completely caught off guard by that.

How about the end of the episode ping-pong match between Mose and Dwight?
I watched that back like three times in a row.
It looks like those really were the actors going at it in a furious rally, which made a huge difference to me. If there were obvious "stuntmen" it would not have been nearly so compelling.

baumbach
This sounds like another movie which is "good" but that you'd never want to watch again.

the tyra banks show
So, wait. This America's Next Top Model is different from The Tyra Banks Show?

first concert
late Jane?
Is that like a MBV interpretation of 'Sweet Jane'?

great
I absolutely loved this episode. I think it was especially funny because the audience knows exactly the kind of person that Larry David is:
petty, selfish, and completely self-absorbed. And Cheryl actually believes that he can change these traits which absolutely define him.

real vampires
"Perhaps Vampires Is a Bit Strong But…" by the Arctic Monkeys calls out blood sucking, soul-less assholes around the world. Uses vampires as a mostrous insult.
And fucking rocks! Vampire-punk-speed metal!

walking with…
Put Spacemen 3 or Spiritualized's "Walking With Jesus" on your iPod and you will never walk alone.

Slackers is a bad movie. Rushmore is a good movie.
But Van Wilder is a great movie.

waukegan?
Why the hell would Morrisey play in Waukegan? That makes absolutely no sense. If he had played at the Chicago Theatre, or Metro, or the RIV I'm sure the venue would have been much better than half-full.
It's got to be awful tough to pull in a crowd on a Wednesday night in Waukegan. I don't care who you are.

almost 14 years?
I've heard this song hundreds of times, and I finally asked myself:
What does he mean "the coldest winter in almost 14 years?" Had there been a colder winter 13 years ago, and he's rounding up to 14? There are no extra syllables if he chose 15 years, so I' m curious what's going on. You can round up

i hate this guy
Judah pretty much makes me want to puke every time I see him on a TV or movie screen. Can't wait 'til he goes away.

backfire
Your question seems to have backfired on you.
Radiohead will be releasing the records (double album) on vinyl for everyone who pays 40 pounds for the album/artwork/cd package.

One More Thing - Albert Brooks' hat
One more thing that seems to have made it through from the initial version of "The Scout" is Albert Brooks' hat.

Fernando Valenzuela
Nathan did not mention, and might not realize, that this movie started off based on the Fernando Valenzuela story. A scout finds a phenom pitcher in Mexico who is ungodly talented, but also very child-like. He proceeds to set the baseball world on fire.
