getting better
Maybe it's just me getting acclimated to the characters and the tone of the series, but I think "Flight of the Conchords" has really started to hit its stride recently. I thought the last episode when they went "on tour" was the best show yet.

For most comedies, I wait until the movie gets to Brew & View. (Chicago).
The picture isn't all that great, but the audience and atmosphere make a big difference.
Superbad will surely play at Brew & View eventually, and that's when I'll see it. I'm betting it will be there in October.

Elvis was not a great actor, but he made some really entertaining movies. And the musical numbers were often great. The movies gave America a visual medium to enjoy Elvis, before MTV and music videos.

I love D'Angelo's music. But this story isn't really sad. It's just a guy being irresponsible on the road getting his come-uppance.

This sounds like it is awfully similar to the movie "The Guru" which came out about five years ago.
It was a big hit in Europe and had Heather Graham as its female lead.
I've seen it, and it wasn't too bad. But I guess we'll see what Mike Myers does with the same premise.
