@avclub-5236d2d466e7a1d9785a33e298a58c3c:disqus I see your point. But has anyone ever actually used "a storm is coming" in regards to anything but the weather in real life? If so, I'd say they were being overly dramatic.

Being African-American myself, I can answer this one pretty easily. The sad truth is that some black folks (read: some, not all) automatically shun anything that doesn't include people of our own persuasion. It's a kind of reverse racism, I guess. Either way, it's an incredibly backwards way of thinking. Besides, my…
Penn and Walken together? I picture them randomly slapping costars and doing blow off of the extras. You know, for authenticity. If what Penn told James Lipton is true I'm sure some funny shit went down.
It's a pretty good crime yarn that sidesteps all of the clichés normally associated with the genre. The main draw is the acting.
That's awful. The audience I saw it with was taken in by the film almost immediately. I could tell it was mostly cinephiles by the conversations I overheard at the end. To this day that's still one of my favorite movie-going experiences. But I find Phipps Plaza AMC on the whole to be a little better than most theaters…
You mean they got rid of all of the women!?
I like that it's only "more than likely" you'll miss the end of the movie. I can picture it now: "Rubber Man, be a dear and position me that-away while you shove that poker up my ass. Thanks."
Truer words…
You've done some bad things, Showtime.
Fellow Atlantian here. If it makes you feel any better the type of black people likely to talk during a screening of a film probably aren't this movie's core audience. And if they happen to buy a ticket anyway they'll quickly leave once they realize it's "one of them silent muhfuckas."
I ask, no, demand footage of this be put online ASAP. I'll settle for shakycam. No fancy shit.
A Woman of Negotiable Virtue sounds like the best melodrama Sirk never made.
What. The. Fuck? I'm tempted to make one now just so that won't be the only version on the interwebs.
Technically, MY unimaginative porn title is part of an existing series so foo-foo to you, sir!
I guess the common response would be "Why look for logic in a story about a magic beanstalk?" but now I'm wondering the same thing.
Cue shakycam followed by an "Oh, shit!" as someone runs.
How long till This Ain't Jack XXX? Fee-fi-fo-fum! I smell the cunt of an Englishwoman!
Depp was genuinely great in Edward Scissorhands and PotC1. Mileage may vary on everything else. Needless to say, he's pretty much thrown away any good will he's earned since the 90s and early 00s.
More like Nancy Blew, amirite?
If it isn't I certainly want it to be.
