There's a ton written already regarding what's wrong with Man of Steel, but I think quoting from Oliver's write-up of Justice League Se2Ep10 "Hereafter" nails it:

I really liked American Gods, but of all his long-form prose it feels the most like a series of short stories.  Anansi Boys, Coraline, Graveyard book etc were all more tightly focused.

Gaiman's Mr. Punch was either turned into a radio play a few years ago, or he had a separate Mr. Punch radio play.  Either way, I remember it being quite good and  probably worth looking for.
