I told my father, whom I watched this finale with, 'I see Van Patten is directing — be prepared for some well-shot violence.' He didn't disappoint!

While a great character, this show seems at no shortage of them. He will be mourned and missed, but his absence will not slow this show down for long.
Ignatiy's review is pretty offhanded and dismissive, but this movie speaks to a large audience in a pretty above standard way (especially if you consider Perry's movies to be the standard.) Maybe it does take a little bit of aging, struggle and disappointment to see the movie in a better light, but it spoke to me…
Chalky comin'!!
I think some of Chalky's men were clipped by Narcisse when he retaliated against him. I know, not that many, but still some were taken out. Also, given that Chalky's 'right hand man' Pernesly (sp?) crossed him, it's probably best he not trust anyone until the threat of Narcisse is eradicated; that way there's nobody…
Yeah, but with all of the conclusions/resolutions we've got coming next week, I was glad to get hers out of the way.
Because Eli is not a thinker. He's ham-fisted and flatfooted when it comes to really out maneuvering his enemies.
Because we were getting too much POWER!! It was like Occupy A.V. Club, I guess…
I had the EXACT same reaction. HAHA!
I want IN!!
The big news here is that there still exists a theater where you can possibly stay for a second showing!!
I did feel that '12 Years…' was both of those things. I don't know what punches you felt it could have thrown, but I didn't feel it needed to get any uglier than it did, for my tastes.
I agree in that I wish it was something they settled at the end of last season.
She was one of the few bright spots in 'Dinner For Schmucks' too.
I agree Stuart is fundamentally cheap, but he's also put in situations where most people would be reluctant to break the bank (in this episode paying for room service for the interloper and the earlier, maybe first episode, where the woman turns around and unilaterally announces he's buying drinks for the entire bar.)
Perhaps, but the room where the Frank family slept/hid was tiny!
I was thinking werewolves next, too. Would they dare to beat the dead horse of vampirism at this point? And, please, no more zombies on TV…anyplace.
Well at least they're finally commenting on how 'cardboard' he actually is. That's a step in the right direction.
If the show lasts long enough, I think they are planning on that doctor who was thrown into that pulsing ball of metal (?) a couple of episodes ago to return as their 'big bad'. Remember how they showed he actually survived the 'push' into it that Coulson gave him? Apparently he's a villain in the books.
Not to sound overly sensitive or anything, but I live near the '5th St' Metro Rail station in Long Beach, CA and it's NOTHING like that! (That fake stop on the show looks more like the Wilmington stop in real life….) The 5th St stop is next to a bustling outdoor mall and is right across from Starbucks.
