I dunno, from what I've read, Garland looks like a reliable enough candidate. Ideally any Supreme Court judge should lean towards the centre, and with Scalia gone, there's no real need to nominate someone more "radical."

I'm worried that Trump may NOT lose to Clinton. At any rate, Bernie will basically have to personally implore each and every one of his supporters to vote for Hilary.

I think the party is going to implode either way. The real danger for the GOP is that a Trumpist 3rd party will syphon votes away from them and will irrevocably alter the Congressional makeup. They narrowly avoided that by incorporating the Tea Party, but if they refuse Trump the nomination, that's not going to happen…
