They shouldn't do one just because of timing, I think is the point. If there's the good story idea and it can be worked around the holiday, then its solid, because there's that whole additional well of shared knowledge to draw from.

@Scrawler, they absolutely do do that, they mention it constantly on the commentaries. The actors tell stories on set from their real lives, the writers hear them and incorporate them.
C'mon, Troy's "AT&T of people" and his various "Huzzahs!" were awesome.
"I don't give a shit" attitude is more like apathy or just saying whatever comes to mind. Deliberately shitting on someone and rubbing it in repeatedly is way beyond that.
