Loved "Bay City Blues". They were showing it on one of the sports cable channels (ESPN?), and I managed to catch a few episodes. It still holds up, which is more than I can say for most hour-long dramas from 1983. Definitely needs to be on dvd.

As a just outside Detroit reader, I have to say: you are not wrong about "Low Winter Sun" being a Detroit tourist. However, the bankrupt city needs those production dollars, despite the result being ruin porn.

It's not a full Scrooge McDuck unless the money is gold coins, and you can dive into them like water in a pool. Also: how would these two goons know about Scrooge McDuck? Of course: DuckTales.

Thanks for the shout-out BonerTime.

You forgot about the hedious 1978 remake of Lady Vanishes with Cybill Shepard.

I remember Ellen's character had erotic dreams about Arye Gross, and thought Jolie Fisher would have been more appropriate.

Mr. Honey Bunny!

Gloria Stuart said there were plenty of sexy times going on during the filming.

"Come with me."

Fish Police? Family Dog?

Best. Show. Ever (Besides George of the Jungle, Tom Slick and Super Chicken).

To the left in the corner lot. You can often see it in the background if the cast in standing in the front yard. They painted it so it's not easy to recognize.

Arkin also played latino in Popi: Rita Moreno played his wife.

I just remember seeing the trailer in 1974, and thinking: "Why is Rhoda in this movie?"

Plus, they live next door to the Bewitched house.

McMainerberry and Durndle.

Yep, "Cavender" originally aired with a laugh track, and it sounded horrible, which is why it was deleted.

Didn't mean to imply Grey's & CSI shared much in common besides the fact that I've (rarely) watched them. I viewed them a few times: some people don't positively respond to popular shows.

Answer: No. Though I am glad the black guy from Roseanne found steady work.
