I also sensed copying from the "Raising Hope" template in the interactions between the family members. Particularly Leah Remini, who seemed to be trying to channel Martha Plimpton. Miss Remini, you are no Martha Plimpton. And instead of Maw Maw, you get some (unrelated) old guy in a wheelchair.
