Hey, maybe they'll keep Carter offscreen for the whole finale too. A girl can dream…

I don't even like funnel cake and I felt for Hawk in that moment.

Thanks for sharing your experience and perspective on the heavy breathing!

I love that despite Kent's best efforts, everyone still says Nevahda.

That would be awesome.

They read my brain! I swear, I *just* checked it and it wasn't up yet (the selfie with Quentin Travers, as I shall always know him, was the top post). Awesome.

I loved that she was upset and a bit hurt, 'til she realized he was doing it to try to advance his career, and then she immediately laughed at him.

That depends. How are you defining powers, or days?

So. Good. I need that to show up on his blog somehow.

Well, a delightfully bearded Garret Dillahunt was already taken, so what's the point?

I actually agree about Sarah- her faith is tested, and she holds true to it, to her interpretation of Meyerism. She stands up to Bill, the Meyerist establishment, yes, but staying quiet would have been her sacrificing her beliefs, what the movement means to her.

I agree completely- he wasn't trying to inspire her, but it worked out that way. And the teen writing is really good. Gotta love those Parenthood alums, or in this case of this episode, creator/showrunner! (Katims is amazing.)

Thanks! And yeah, that scene with Alison and Eddie had a definite, "Why look! Hetero people of opposite genders being flustered. Sexual tension, anyone?" vibe. Really hoping they go a different way, or at least progress with more nuance.

lol. Thanks beema!

Thank you! I don't know why I didn't check the actual site, but I'm so very glad you did.

Nice description! The heartbeat motive is nice and works well, but I was even more impressed by the other scoring paired with it, particularly the lines that I described as evoking a lump in one's throat. Plenty of composers go for the heartbeat rhythm—it's an oldie, but a goodie—but this is the first time I can

Thanks for catching this!

Loved the music in this episode! I've been digging it throughout the series, but it was particularly powerful for me here. Juxtaposing James and T.R. with the Gershwin works incredibly well, as does using "All The Pretty Little Horses" for Boo (which I associate with Copland, as it's part of his Old American Songs)

Yup, classical violinist.

It would've been easier to catch if we knew Sarah's parents' last name for sure. Miranda references Sarah as being of the Kennedy-style Lane family, so did Eddie take Sarah's name? IMDb still has them as just Gab and Hank.
