Tom Hanks is a national treasure. In fact, he's such a national treasure, Nic Cage is trying to locate him right now.

Let's be clear: There's a big gap between race in American Horror Story, race in Django Unchained, and race in 12 Years A Slave. Not exactly fair to compare this episode with Django; casts more unfavorable glow upon Django than is deserved.

Quentin forgot to honor his bromance with Christoph Waltz by not including Epic.

This is what nails on a chalkboard look and sound like when realized as a movie.

I couldn't agree more. I wish we could have seen more of her over the years. She's utterly perfect in this.

"Fuck wank bugger shitting arse head and hole!" - Bill Nighy (Billy Mack), Love Actually

Ha. You should hunt down his older filmography. Look for something called Parole Chicago. Waltz was mid-20s, looked about 16, and was utterly adorable as a wannabe criminal who comically and frequently finds himself in spots of trouble.

Ha. For the record, one of my parents is dead, and the one still alive probably doesn't even know how to navigate to this website, much less add a comment to this article.

Goosebumps always verged on cartoonish horror. To me, AYAOTD took itself a little more seriously; the writing was better. I mean, just consider the opening theme music to each show. Which one was seriously disturbing? Which one had an upbeat little piano tune and nothing more than a shadowy letter G roving around in

To be honest I didn't watch via Amazon Instant. Just checked and @avclub-618fd0370047b25592c8a7db0ff8a9c0:disqus is right—they don't offer the full series. They're offering "volumes" of episodes, but they're a hodgepodge of seasons, and some key episodes aren't in the mix. Disappointing. Though, it is quite a

Well to be fair, the Midnight Society never saw this guy—they just heard about him:

"Thirteenth Floor" has such a killer reveal at the end. Every time I watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and it comes to that sequence with the faceless people, I think of "Thirteenth Floor."

Oh man, anytime I'm cold I tell people "I'm cold" in exactly that kid's manner. People get it or they don't.

Awww, you people are too kind. Danke!

And I do enjoy me some AHS.

Amazon has the whole series to watch on Instant; YouTube still has a few lingering episodes. If you want discs, there was supposed to be a thing called Are You Afraid of the Dark? Volume 1 that was due to be released during the summer, but Amazon continues to say it's not available yet. However, Amazon Canada offers

I had a draft of this that talked about "Bookish Babysitter." It's a memorable episode because it's both inventive and creepy as shit. Babysitter is like Mary Poppins from Hell.

Gilbert Gottfried's ep also had Ryan Gosling as the older brother of the kid obsessed with death.

There are so many episodes worth talking about. These really just fit in with what I was trying to say about the show. But there are so many classics I didn't get to mention. "The Tale of the Lonely Ghost" for one, or "The Tale of the Midnight Madness," which is in my Top Five of the series.

Kicking myself for not writing about the credits. I still cringe from the sound of the giggling children.
