Too bad he's long dead.
Too bad he's long dead.
Er, ah, CHOW-DAHH!
Juice is the same lunkhead who once grabbed a handful of pills and took them with reckless abandon not knowing they were tranquilizers. He also got conned by a lowlife into hopping in a van, got beat up and lost his cut. Never the sharpest tool in the box, but always meaning well. So falling asleep and missing his…
You said it, not me!
YeaHHH. Anyone got any Coheed and CAMBRIA? They're mah FAY-vorite!
I'm gonna go watch Halloween thREEEEEEEE.
I kinda hope Chucky(ie?) gets to knock off a piece with Ima now.
I'm with you. Clay just being a ruthless, evil asshole is turning out to be fantastic.
Could be they were just sleeping in.
I admit I'm not a big fan of Katey Sagal singing but using "Strange Fruit" was a nice change up compared to a cliche like "Amazing Grace" which I can never stand hearing. This despite the valid objection snoop brought up above here.
The half-sister incident I expect will rear its ugly head before this show finishes. Few secrets have stayed secret on this show. Agent Kohn's murder might be one of the few only Jax and Tara really know the truth about now that the wheels are finally coming off Clay and Gemma's cover up of JT's death.
It's another little thing that's been around from the beginning. Tig and Happy definitely have them on their cuts. This is the first time I think they've ever really acknowledged it.
Sometimes, it's hard to tell the difference. But at least I can generally count on the AV Club to be well written.
Trent Reznor is going to have to die and his estate will have to release Tapeworm along with all his other scraps of tunes he no doubt has sitting in a closet somewhere before anyone will hear it. I figure I'll get to rock out to it by the time I'm 60.
More observations: "Strange Fruit" the old Billie Holiday song about the lynchings of black men and covered by one of the Sagal sisters is playing as Juice hangs himself. Appropriate because Juice is black—apparently.
MEN OF MAYHEM seems like for all intents and purposes to be a merit badge. Clay set it up that he was proud of Juice's work and sacrifices for the club (unaware of all the cop-talking, obviously). Had Juice lived I think the other members would have regarded him with more respect.
Tool are long overdue for new material and the last 2 years they've played live shows the setlists were identical. Hopefully early 2012 has some new tunes from those guys. My guess it'll be 13 tracks and about 9 of them will be actual songs. But I will love those 9 songs.
Even their praise is dismissive. You have to be motherfucking Arcade Fire to get a truly glowing review around here sometimes.
That's just how they roll, @avclub-dd2cf52976e02d7114123023191745ea:disqus . I hope you're not a Trent Reznor fan, too, because they have plenty of snark for that guy, too.
It'll likely grow on me. Keenan's had a good track record with albums having a good shelf life so after a few listens I start to really understand the songs better and end up loving them. This might be a way darker and less fun record than Vagina was, but that doesn't mean it's bad either. Mr. Bungle albums were an…
