Agreed. I watched them over two days and, at the halfway mark, was already bemoaning how another Lindsey episode meant waiting for a Lucille or Buster episode. Times that by weeks rather than hours and I could see fans getting really frustrated and laying into the weaker episodes much harder than they deserved.

I don't mind that they re-used that moment - it wasn't earned as an amotional moment but I enjoyed it as a winking reference. But Quinto has such a weedy shouting voice that it ruins it. His voice breaks almost immediately. Could they not do a second take? Or ADR? If you're going to do that moment then bellow it, son.
