Eleven can monologue when he wants to. Eleventh Hour and The Pandorica Opens both have him speeching at the aliens to stop it and go away.

Agreed. Almost anyone I know who pirates will, if pushed, justify it with "Yeah, but if I like it then I'll by the CD/DVD". And it's almost always bullshit. The occasional TV show, perhaps - once they're cheap. But films? Seen once, move on. Music? Once the MP3 is on their iPod they're not going to pick up the CD -

You're welcome! You will need to be a Netflix user to stream them (as I sure you know so apologies if I'm stating the patronisingly obvious here) but that's nothing that a month's free trial won't sort out.

It was a shock when he turned up. At first you see his character briefly in a bar scene and I thought "Wow, how Jerome Flynn has fallen - now just a nameless extra in a bar scene".

There are a couple of logic leaps you need to make for the plot to completely work but it's a story told with such verve and style that it earns its B, especially in the final stretch. And the cast are fantastic.

Download? No. Stream? Yes. It'll be up the same times as the US stream.

Solid as a Rock(steady)!

I'm not normally a fan of the companion and Doctor being love-up and/or fancying each other but if it leads to more moments like Smith's awkwardness tonight or his reaction back when you realised he and River would end up doing naughty things then count me in.

Perhaps there should be. And now perhaps there will be after they see what a good idea it would be. And perhaps this episode was set three years from now after they installed it. Perhaps Moffat just did a wibbly-wobbly-timey-wimey Pandorica-style loop in real-life.

The TARDIS was in pretty bad shape in The Eleventh Hour though.

You're right, it's not good storytelling when you take out half the story beats in between.

Why isn't the Screen of Souls muted? How could those people work with all that panicked racket going on?

I often read complaints about Murray Gold's music for the show but damn it, that's a great piece of music. As are Doomsday and All the Strange, Strange Creatures.

It works better in retrospect as a bridge between the old and the new.

The episode's end credits?

If we're going down the actually route, it's actually rycbar123.

I read an interview with him in which he said he wouldn't do it because he doesn't like to go back to old roles in his career, he prefers to move forward. What a grumpy bum.

I was thinking it's more like when Larry David did the Seinfeld reuinion special in the Curb Your Enthusiasm world.

Agreed. For me, the film is not so much about the theories themselves - interesting (if not convincing) as they are - but about how one film could allow for such wild and dedicated fascination and analysis from these people. And yet for all their dedication, reasearch and close-reading of the film, they seem to have

No apology needed, @avclub-97b2d5e5f92c333976018236d76658d9:disqus , I knew the risks coming into the thread!
