Or it could be a genuine inquiry as to how closely this installment carries over the events of those two films, especially as most reviews mention about this film concerning Bond's past. Besides, after QoS, it shouldn't be taken for granted that each Bond film is completely standalone.

It seems that each of Craig's films lowers the stakes with regards to masterplans.

I agree that Tomorrow Never Dies had its moments (it's never a bad Bond film, just a tepid one) and I'll even go as far as to say that The Wolrd is Not Enough had some highlights as well. That boat chase on the Thames was pretty cool and I always like the ski chase.

Yup, Tracy has always been the ongoing thread that destroyed the theory. Ironic really as it was that film's "This never happened to the other guy" line that is probably the strongest evidence for it (even though it's obviously just a cheesy, fourth wall breaking joke).

License to Kill. Thanks to the gap between this and GoldenEye it was the 'latest' Bond theme for six years and so for me, between the ages of 7 and 13, became the definitive cinema foyer music. And at the age going to the cinema was the most incredible thing to happen on a semi-regular basis. So yes, it gets a lot of

I've seen it. It's good with a few brilliant moments - and everyone's great in it - but you come out of it wishing it had been better. And that they knew what the 'sub' in 'subtext' meant.

Reloaded at least had ambition. It may have failed to meet it in some places (and some scenes, including the rave scene, fall flat completely) but it tried and it got a lot of things right. As a big-budget piece of summer cinema it was often incredible and, all in all, it left people talking about it.

Did anyone else think that the unseen interruption in proceedings was due to Malcolm killing himself? It was just after his second time on the stand, I thought he'd realised he was fucked and done something very dramatic (especially with the talk that this is the last series). At the end of it my girlfriend admitted

Surely this deserves an A simply for making a joke about a shit storm regarding the Chief Whip - and filming it months before the actual and very current shit storm regarding the Chief Whip.
