If only because watching that so soon after the pilot shows an incredible leap forward from there for not only where Walt is now but also the close relationship that forms between him and Jesse the dropout from the pilot. And the development both of those arcs are perfectly pinpointed in one scene.

Agreed. In fact if season 4 lacked anything it was awesome cold opens like that. They were great but almost all were 'traditional' cold opens that led into the plot proper. Obviously 'Better Call Saul' did as well but it's protracted length and odd vibe felt at home with the music video from season 2, the flashback to

Which is a shame because the teaser poster looked fantastic - a really nice, artistic piece. And then the trailer goes and farts the left over files from Alice in Wonderland's CGI effects all over the screen.

I know Breaking Bad is never this simple but surely the series endgame has to be a final battle of wills between Walt and Jesse in some way? Walt's corruption of Jesse and the things he's done to him - Jane, Brock - for his own purposes deserves to be a huge part of the final batch of episodes.

I remember watching the episode for the first time and being disappointed there wasn't more of an exciting ending but sort of forcing myself to appreciate the fact that it was the final deep breath before the plunge.
