The episode with the "Streetcar!" musical also pissed off New Orleans. Bart's chalkboard message on an episode aired shortly thereafter (possibly the next one, I'm not sure about the turnaround time) read "I will not defame the city of New Orleans".

They definitely showed the TV movie at least once in America; I remember seeing it as a kid.
"As if a switch had been turned, as if an eye had blinked… suddenly, there was no husband!"
Next week, on the Mad Men special: Can you really cut off someone's foot while driving around drunk on a lawnmower? Plus, they put Kari in a special balloon suit to test out the physics of Joan Harris.
Yeah, it's hard to get more unwatchable than those five… maybe "Castle of Fu Manchu" and "Hamlet".
It's fun to coordinate this list, the IMDB Bottom 100 and the list of films done by MST3K to see how they correspond. The Bottom 100 usually has at least seven MSTed movies in the top ten. Some of that is because of MST3K's exposure in the first place—Manos would be a tiny footnote in film history otherwise—but…
If "Planes" had beat "Elysium" just a few weeks after "Grown Ups 2" beat "Pacific Rim", I might have had to pull a Professor Farnsworth and not live on this planet anymore.
He was also Sir Robin in Spamalot, where he had the best song in the entire show: "You Won't Succeed On Broadway If You Don't Have Any Jews".
So is it a coincidence that Aniston is playing a character paid to go along with a crazy scheme created by an SNL alum, or was this actually pitched as a sequel to "Just Go With It" and they changed the name later?
The best part about "Earth vs. Soup" is that, when it was first introduced, it was just sort of a random joke, but then four years later, they brought it back to vent their frustrations over how Grammercy screwed up "MST3K The Movie".
It was adapted into a kickass Batman story by Len Wein and Walt Simonson.
I'm always amazed that Pennie Smith wanted to throw away the photo that became the "London Calling" cover. Instead it's easily the greatest album cover of all time.
He should have a playdate with my son, White Riot Glassman.
Radical!
So who will they get to play Rodney Dangerfield? Maybe they'll slap some prosthetics on Jon Stewart.
I AM THE LIZARD QUEEN!
I saw elsewhere that one of the restaurants serves "Ice Cream Conans", a nice shout-out to Mr. O'Brien.
It's the Fucking Doctor! I think I'll never stop referring to him like that.
Eh, just add George Hamilton and Connie Francis and everything'll turn out okay… except for that one blonde girl who got gang-raped by some frat boys and wandered out into the street.
Here's something I could never figure out. Sci-Fi used to air "Droids" as part of its line-up, along with Transformers, Bionic Six and C.O.P.S. amongst others… but they only ever seemed to show the Mungo Baobab episodes. Did they ever show the Prince Jan stuff?
