Learned about this on Twit last night. He had a lot of comedian friends, that's for sure. He'll be missed.

"Olivier Megaton"? Really?

Billy Joel, The Stranger. Rock on.

I forget which of the Keane boys took over the strip after Bil died. Whichever it was, it was the wrong one.

Just watched that last night. My ears are still ringing from all the explosions. Christ, was that thing over-praised.

I'll be blunt— Zippy the Pinhead has lost his funny. Ever since Bill Griffith discovered Dingburg, the strip's gone to hell.

Garfield became weirdly funny again for awhile when Jim Davis Incorporated finally realized that Jon's pathetic life is funnier than the damn cat.

Tertiary syphilis is better than Family Circus.

They used to advertise Dianetics on tv all the time.

Was Saucy Jack the ONLY goddamn murderer in England's history?

People are still holding grudges against the Prequels, which— except for Phantom Menace— weren't that bad, only mediocre.

My problem is that most of the anime I've seen is incredibly long, detailed series that I see the middle of maybe once or twice, don't understand and can't find anyway to see the beginning.

I'll probably never get into Sons of Anarchy or Sopranos, despite loving The Wire.

I've always followed writers/artists rather than characters or companies. STRONGLY recommend MiracleMan, Alan Moore's Swamp Thing (finally available in paperback and hardcover) and Eric Powell's The Goon, right now going through a SERIOUSLY grim noir chapter.

Working retail, I wasn't really surprised, but my hours got cut down to about 20 a week. Yes, the extra hours were killing me — holiday rush is a total bitch in this store— but I got used to the income. Still waiting for that six month raise they told me about when I signed on.

Jesus.

My work bathroom has only two stalls; I've never cared about the privacy aspect, I just care about a door that closes and soft, strong CLEAN lav paper.

Yeah, I had that in a lot of classes, just hoodwinked me into thinking I wrote well when I just wrote glibly.
