I'm pretty sure the show has about as much homoerotic undertones as a CW show is going to have (for males), which is to say, not much. Obviously there are plenty of subtle callbacks to Kaboom (at least that I have noticed).

I specifically watch the Secret Circle because I find that the Vampire Diaries, compared to season 1 (which everyone apparently found plodding except I), has become so lost in its hyper-violence and "ooooh look at all the twists!" thematics that its hard to watch. This is one of those times where you realize you need to stop posting. 

I lived in Ward 3 and I still liked the shit out of Marion Barry. He was/is evil, but in such a transparent, almost campy way, that it has a certain appeal to it.

If this movie has Rihanna, who inexplicably is now in the U.S. Navy, screaming "You Sunk My Battleship!" at the end, in a heavy Barbadian accent, I will watch this. Just kidding.

I'm pretty sure Todd PretentiousLastName only reviews this show because it gets rather high ratings (for a comedy in 2011) and so it earns the A.V. club wider press recognition and ad money. That is, the A.V. club are sell-outs and Todd is leading the parade of fiery chariots into hell.
