Well, to be fair, Montelban was playing an Indian in brownface, so let's not get too worked up about the racial politics of the new one.  Also, Benicio turned it down.

Super 8 is one of the most sincere blockbuster-style movies in years.  The word cynical is bizarrely mis-applied.  (Twice!)

You're right, Tom Paris is as good as John Ford.

They were slugs, I think.

He doesn't even understand the basic storytelling language of film.  He breaks the 180 rule like he was still in high-school, zooms in on actors faces like it was General Hospital, and can't string together a coherent scene to save his life.  At least once an act there was an edit that took an extra second to get your

God Hates Us All is their second masterpiece, I contend.

Tom Paris from Voyager directed this episode.  He is the worst television director I've ever seen.

All hail the king of directing "movies" masquerading as "cinema".
