Thank you for finally articulating what I've been trying to say this whole time!  Me words no good.

Dowd is not good.  I knew it was a Dowd review when he trashed a few other movies in the first paragraph.  Regardless of the accuracy of his reviews, they are always negative.  Positivity is one of the reasons I used to trust the AV Club over other internet sites.

Len Wiseman is a good director, he just doesn't always [usually?] try to make good movies.

I'm sure someone has pointed out already: Peter Weller is a history professor.

Why must Dowd review every film I'm interested in?  Worthless.

I'm not flaming him for disagreeing.  His reviews are poorly written and negative.  Not negative in the sense that he doesn't like movies I like, but that he will often spend more time complaining than praising, and will also waste time mentioning other films that he doesn't like for no reason.  It's unpleasant.

I would love to know what one of the good reviewers here would say about this film.
