I agree it's always skewed iffy, but still. This year they completely jumped the shark.
Summer Slaughter
Anybody else see that Summer Slaughter lineup and think it was an April Fools Joke?
shit yeah. that's the first indication they (and their label, frankly) are awesome.
Glad to hear the Wormrot love. I got to see them recently in NC, and they seem like really great guys. Appreciative and genuinely excited to be rocking my face off.
GRIND
That new Rotten Sound record is great.
Anybody read about the new tour? TWO FUCKING SETLISTS EVERY NIGHT. Be there and be awesome.
I saw Neuraxis open up for Deicide last week. They tore it up and, yes, Asylon is damn fine.
Not too lazy to post it twice, I see.
I repeat the love for this column and I read it in full absolutely every time. My two cents:
I'll be snarky: what about craig finn?
Holy God, thanks for posting this.
Flashing me on BET Planet Groove, Rap City News, NAACP committees
Irish indeed. I'm not sure where I got French .
I'm not trying to feed the troll or anything, but Terror does, indeed, suck a bag of monkey dicks.
Pretty much agreed, Piggy. This ep has gotten so much fucking buzz that I couldn't resist downloading it, but it left me a little flat. It's tight, fast, and manic but also a little redundant sounding - and that's with only five songs.
I'm embarrassed to have partially enjoyed "With roots above…" but I don't think…
Altar of plagues is still bouncing around somewhere in France, no? They're not hardcore, but they have a pretty awesome atmospheric-black thing going.
Watain came from the darkest bowels of hell to rape you.
I agree that "metal core" really only means "I don't like this band"
Summer slaughter
I had the good fortune to attend the slaughter in Atlanta this year. It was a blast, lots of good tech death and a chance to get some exposure to bands I would probably not see otherwise. Decrepit birth killed, but I honestly think the faceless was the band to see.
