The Wolves in the Throne Room
The Watain
The Faceless

Arsenio, it was really nothing.

except the Wu Tang Clan will fuck your eyes out if you try to claim Staten Island in a Jersey Shore promo rap

Good call, Chester. I'll agree Deftones never fully devolved into sucking balls, however damn close they tried to get (see: post-white pony)

Gotta take issue with Hostess's hate on Nachtmystium. I would definitely put them in the pysch/black catagory and, even if you aren't digging the new direction they've been going in with the "Meddles", they're (he?) a pretty damn extreme, quasi-underground american black metal band who isn't afraid to try new

"Saturday Night" > almost any other ghost verse. And that's saying something.

Just for the record, I'm seriously not trolling. tical 2000 is fucking sick. A little bloated, for sure, but sick.

Tical 2000 is easily Meth's best effort.

Reunited, Double LP - World excited.

@jessepinkman: So fucking true. Sayid is my hero. Saved most of the sub, show some respect people.

We are the Nightmare is awesome, "but celebration" and "united" were even more technically sick.

I agree with the general sentiment of Christ Metal = Crap, so there's generally no need to cover it.

Thanks, will do. After I posted today, I listened to Gin again and it's definitely not awful. I especially like the vocal delivery, and I feel like that's what's often saving Cobalt from the grasp of Tool's influence that I was railing against earlier. Straight up black metal is fucking great IMO so I'll definitely

The new Nile is so fucking good, and, no, I don't think (could definitely be wrong) Leonard covered it…shame.

NACHTMYSTIUM owns with a sax (in moderation)

I actually got Gin this week after seeing it on several best of '09 lists… I've never heard Eater of Birds, but I can say that Cobalt is pretty good and aggressive, but definitely over-hyped. I really like the thematic influences of hemingway and thompson and all, but every time I listen to Gin, I feel like I'm
