Winter generally lasts as long as the preceding summer. This has been the longest summer in quite some time, so it's logical to assume the coming winter could be 20 years (that number may be wrong in either direction, but it's long anyway.)

My sister watched Grease on VHS pretty much every day after school. I still have some affinity for it, as this was a huge step up from My Little Pony: The Movie.

Does anyone else have their DVR showing a new Happy Endings tonight at 8, and then another one at 3:30 AM? It shows up that way both this week and next week, but that seems like an odd strategy.

I agree that A-Rod's a dick, but would the best use of his vast fortune be buying a weekend's worth of tickets for a mediocre sports movie? Plus, when you factor in taxes, agent, manager, steroid purchases, purchases of the records of him buying those steroids, lip gloss, etc. it's way less than that.

Well, you could try being passive-aggressive and mentioning other people who have quit and how much their lives have improved, but that's still not subtle and can be more obnoxious than just nagging. One thing: smokers know it's bad for them, and even if they really want to quit it can be quite difficult.
