He sounds like an elitist, classist prick. The fact that he references "socioeconomic upbringing/status" says "I grew up in a rich family and anyone who didn't isn't good enough" to me. It reminds me of the recent story about Ted Cruz, who wouldn't study with anyone who didn't go to Harvard or Princeton when he was in

I like ATTWT too, but I'm of the opinion that Banks was their weakest songwriter. His lyrics are awful - they're almost always just a bunch of pseudo-profound nonsense.

I think "Both Sides of the Story" and "Can't Find My Way" are fantastic, but most of that album is proof that Phil really needs some backing musicians.

Feel the malaise, suckers!

I'm still waiting for a Cloak and Dagger series.

My concern over Homeland as it goes into its third (of 11?) season on Showtime? All-consuming.

Oh, that's so annoying. Lori started the trend with her "you have to accept the deal RIGHT NOW or I'm pulling it" offers.

I doubt that happens very often. Despite the slick editing of the show, most pitches take hours to get through.

I guess I just don't have entrepreneurial vision, because I thought the postcard idea was gimmicky and idiotic. There's a reason people don't send postcards anymore, it's called the Internet. I guess the plan is to get some gullible tech company to pay them a bunch of money to sell out.

Most of them aren't desperate so much as they are greedy, incompetent, or looking for free(ish) advertising. If there's a desperate person on the show, they usually get a 3-minute intro video talking about all they've sacrificed and how this is their last chance before their business closes, they're out on the street

It's always really entertaining when they have someone peddling quackery on the show, because Cuban loves to eviscerate scam artists. His offers are less interesting, since they usually boil down to: "I can get this into Mavericks/theater/whatever concessions because I own them."

Also, "The Battle of New Orleans", and "Fish Heads" by Barnes & Barnes.

"Afternoon Delight".

Lorne would disagree with you.

I give it a Ψ+.

Fly by night away from this movie.

Yeah, he was doing great until the douchey blanket statement about writing at the end. A breezy memoir and a couple of collections of essays do not an authoritative writer make, Dan.

What's a "temporary housing complex"? Is that like an extended-stay motel?

Simple: no superheroes. Then, as mentioned above, it just becomes NCIS with some wacky Whedoney dialogue.

They ask that question during the interview process, and 90% of the time the answer is travel. That's probably why they don't bother.
