Have you ever heard some of Pat Boone's renditions of rock hits from the 1950s? He sucks the life out of those songs. Kind of make sense that one of his daughters recorded an incredibly popular song in the 1970s that also has no life to it.

I saw Hum at Riot Fest in Chicago and they still have it to this day. It makes you wonder what Hum could have done if they stuck around a little longer but at least they gave us two important albums.

I bet Pat McCrory's Meet the Press appearance only made things worse. And when you hear him talk about the restaurant that he was at in his hometown, it's clear that he put a strong intention to state that it is one run by a mostly black staff as a means of trying to win votes.

Don't worry, that's just a p'oed baby. The baby won't know what's happening.

Yeah, and it makes it so people are mad at the band and not at the NC GOP, the group they should really be mad at.

Don't forget, this was passed by a Republican-led government. And the GOP has devolved over the years to where the only part of the constitution that they care about is the second amendment (which they may not fully understand to begin with)

I had tickets for this show on Wednesday and my brother was going to fly in from Chicago to see it and then this happens. As much as I love Pearl Jam and agree that this law does nothing to help people (and doesn't even protect families when you really think about it), it fucking pisses me off to see that they were

They should just call it LOOK AT ME. And yes, the all-caps was intentional. I mean, if you're not gonna go with Now You Don't then you might as well go the next step.

Well, on HBO you do get to finally see the rest of Oscar's body. It teaches kids - and adults - the importance of protection.

Elmo helps PBS to get money, especially since Congress doesn't love PBS.
(inhales another helium balloon)
Elmo can't talk to Big Bird anymore though. Big Bird isn't really marketable like Elmo.

I was wondering if you fellas could help me out. I've been trying to find a good alternative to Gawker sites, what with Gawker having devolved into clickbait/SJW/trolling world. I'm especially trying to find a good alternative to Deadspin or io9 (unfortunately the Robot's Voice, formerly Topless Robot, has shut down).

<obligatory scientology="" joke="">Well, maybe the mummy in this movie won't be cursed by natural spirits but will instead be cursed by thetans it has yet to purge.</obligatory>

As good as fuck is, I think douche is a more effective swear word. It doesn't have to be dirty to be a swear word' it just has to be used in the right context.

Klaus Kinski definitely deserves a nod for his work as Dracula. Then again, the fact that he was actually able to not only shoot both English and German versions and put up with Werner Herzog and still pull off a good performance is amazing in its own right.

Speaking of American Crime Story, Courtney Vance is essentially the definitive Johnnie Cochran; the show was filled with plenty of convincing actors but he seemed to be the best one.

Fair point. It certainly explains the devil may care attitude.

Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry Callahan really does a great job of portraying the burned out, vengeful cop character - someone who deep down is sick of it all - that it's tough for anyone to try and top it. Charles Bronson tried doing so with the Death Wish movies but that just ended up being kitschy in the end.

Does Maurice LaMarche as Orson Welles count?

Crack the Lullabies of Command

We need more people who are coming to NC to act like this. It's clear that you could make a bigger difference if you work hard enough to make a show a rally of sorts. I'm going to be at Pearl Jam's show in Raleigh on Wednesday; hopefully PJ can make a stand at their show. It can make more of an impression if anything.
