I'm reading the truly epic and beautifully-written 'The Power Broker' by Robert A. Caro which tracks the rise and fall of Robert Moses. Wonderfully detailed without losing the flow of narrative, and utterly even-handed in presenting the man as both brilliant and ruthless.

My beef with David Sedaris is that in his books what is true is not funny, and what is funny is not true.

It does if there's a secret Bethesda game called New Vegad.

Space westerns often verge on silliness. They're oaters without the gritty gravitas.

That's like disliking your grandparents; different era, different pacing, but the echoes in others is undeniable.

Your high cheekbones remind me of one of the skulls in my boudoir.

In judging the ungainly appearance of one male actor and giving another a pass for being attractive, I feel that I'm balancing out my karma for times I did that for actresses.

Film idea: Perreti motorcyclist, Lapkus sidecar, dance routines, costumes, small-town America, head-scratching, record-scratching, lessons learned. $8m budget, March release.
