I didn't see it as homoerotic as much as it was Dick simply trying to make Bob uncomfortable. Assassination has some of the most realistic depictions of bullying and male aggression I've ever seen. More often than not, bullying is more about pushing buttons and intimidation than wedgies and swirlies.

I kinda understand the hate for Orlando, but in films like Kingdom of Heaven and LOTR and even the first Pirates he doesn't bother me. He's no standout actor, but Keanu is far more of an offender and that fucking guy is still getting roles.

The thing I loved about Assassination was the complex character study between the two leads…not simply how different the two obviously were, but how similar the two could be, at times. Both were seriously disturbed individuals with a deep self-loathing: Robert because he suspected, and eventually realized, he would

It's the Catholic Mass, no?

I think I'll keep my copies of Mona Bone Jakon, Tea for the Tillerman, Teaser and the Firecat and Catch Bull at Four, all the same.

I second the love for Kol Nidre, regardless of who is playing on that record…even if I prefer Massin F Minor. That's fine, fine Christian LSD music for ya.

I love all that shit, without owning any of it. Gordon Lightfoot, America, KC and the Sunshine Band, Bread, that Winnie the Pooh song by Loggins and Messina. I don't know if pop music was catchier then, had better writers with a sense for melody, or I just have a predisposition for the stuff drilled into me as a kid

Iron Man killed the people he once saved.

Outland needs more love and a serious DVD release. That film is horribly underrated. Sean Connery busting balls once again, as he does so well, and Peter Boyle as a villain? What else do you want? I know people don't explode like that in space, but they should.

Great harmonies aside, my biggest beef with AiC, even as a fan, was the long, sloooow, dirgey songs that would drag on so lethargically. The first album had a lot of that, and "Rooster" from the second is a prime example of a song I never want to hear again. Get a little energy, guys. The Unplugged album was the end

I think those who can't see the humor in this might be taking themselves a little too seriously. Honestly, guys, you can make fun of ND for being nerdy and awkward not simply because you're a heartless bully, but because you actually experienced that. You are, in effect, laughing at yourself and the goofball that you

You can ridicule and laugh at the main characters but still identify with them at a certain point in your life and empathize. I was definitely an outsider, so HipsterDBag's description of high school as "constant partying, constant sex with tons of good looking high school girls, and fun-fun-fun 24 hours a day" was

That's awesome, Sheltie. A time machine that only takes you to the Civil War.

"Mirthless"? If you somehow missed the everpresent humor in the film, I can see why you didn't get it.

1) How about a beer with some taste, guys? Sam Adams. Don't give me that elitist bullshit. Can't get more American than a beer brewed by a Founding Father. But if you get trapped in Alaska and can't get the lower 48 beer, go for Moose Drool.

Migrant, the knuckleheaded hipsters need to be contrarian, and proclaiming Yoko Ono as a great artist is the ultimate example of this. I know we all have different tastes, but even considering Yoko Ono as some kind of real musician is like a practical joke gone horribly wrong.

The troll above who hated/didn't understand/failed to appreciate District 9 better get two more dashes in his name before I even think of responding to him.

No one jerks off to their favorite movies, Tom.

District 9 is fucking excellent…and that's after I was told by some douche that "District 9 is so fucking excellent you have to see it" and usually when I'm told that and I actually make the effort to drop the clams and see his expert fucking recommendation afterwards I'm all like "Yeah, it was good but in no way was

Man fall down…not…funny?
