Dream Warriors is by far the best in the series. New Nightmare is easily Craven's most overrated movie: it's an interesting concept but the execution is atrocious and most of the scenes are retreads of ones that were more imaginatively executed in previous installments. It also one of the most irritating and

Pretty sure you also saw Kyle Reese's ass in the first Terminator but didn't see Arnie's in the second. I keep track of these things.

Unforunately I never saw it till I was 16 or so and was a bit underwhelmed as well for some reason. I rewatched it later in college though and loved it… I'm not sure what was wrong with me the first time. I guess I was expecting something a bit different from what the movie actually is. The Bowie songs are wonderfully

It has a special place in my heart for that absurdly convoluted title. I really hope someone walked into the theater and said "I would like two tickets for Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole please".

Yeah I think it was especially confusing for me since I've always been more attracted to guys in the older age range. Oddly though, I've never really understood the whole Alan Rickman thing.

Haha wow, I'm impressed you remembered my age. I thought you were more like thirty for some reason so there's a bigger age gap than I thought. Most of the sitcoms I ended up watching were reruns, stuff like The Brady Bunch, Bewitched, Happy Days, etc. but I seem to have missed out on most 80's sitcoms though I was

Not to mention that Schwimmer has done a fair amount of directing work and probably makes a good chunk of change from the Madagascar movies, and LeBlanc at least has a regular tv gig. I'd say they actually ended up being quite successful by the standards of ex-sitcom stars.

Wow, I must be younger than I realized, because I have never heard of any of the shows you mentioned. Then again I didn't watch a lot of non-PBS tv until I was 12 or so so maybe I just missed the reruns or something.

Have we forgotten the WB so quickly @avclub-de9878e9d33c60263a094abc94fab3f0:disqus ?

"not only do they push Thomas, his wife, Sharon, and the nurse to literal happy endings"

That was happening to me too! I'm glad that it's apparently not a virus or anything. It doesn't happen on the computers at work, but those are running on an older version of Windows (and Chrome) so that might have something to do with it.

Yeah I think the surest way to never try them to be completely lame and have no idea what you would do to obtain such a thing. Not that I would know from personal experience…

You should really stick with PD Scrawler! It gets so much better in the second season when they start to dive into more serialized storylines, and the cast is really wonderful. I'll admit that I did love it from the first episode, but the storyline involving Stephen Root in season 2 is on a whole other level.

I like BSG, but  from the beginning it was really in love with retconning stuff into the character's pasts. Starbuck was the worst example of this, they would just throw stuff into her childhood to fit whatever storyline they were writing at the moment. And Adama feeling like he was guilty for beginning the whole

Going off topic: I'm sure this is old news, but apparently Phipps and co. did indeed leave to join Pitchfork's upcoming movie site, The Dissolve. http://www.slate.com/blogs/…

Ugh, don't get my started on No Country…. that is definitely one of my least favorite films of theirs. Despite some good scenes and performances, the whole thing feels a bit lifeless and retreads ground they'd covered many times before in a not particularly memorable fashion. The pseudo-philosophy is also really

@avclub-a1967e6de4ca99fb2635d94b99453928:disqus No, Sophocles just mistyped. Season 6 would be the one that adapts Hannibal, and season 5 would be based on Silence of the Lambs according to Fuller's plan.

At least for me, same sex attraction wasn't really something that consciously registered with me until I hit my teens, so I don't really recall having crushes on men when I was really young. When you're not aware of behavior that's outside of the normative mindset it can be difficult to recognize it in yourself.
