Probably because he's made a ton of terrible movies? He's like the Adam Sandler of action movies these days: his presence in a movie is enough to tell you to stay far, far away.

Ah okay, thanks, I didn't realize the seasons were that long. I have to catch up on that series someday… I watched all the Fuller episodes but then never went further than that, though not on purpose, I just had too much on my plate.
I think the most episodes any Fuller series has received is 24 and a movie, and that was Dead Like Me, which he didn't even work on after the first five episodes. Pushing Daisies came second with 22 episodes since it had a 9 episode first season and a 13 episode second.
Yeah I was ready to be completely pissed when The Following and Bates Motel got renewed and Hannibal didn't. I sort of have faith that the show will keep going for several years now… I'm guessing if NBC doesn't keep it going on it's own strength it will either get a similar deal to the one Friday Night Lights had, or…
Wow really? That's some pretty interesting casting, I'll be intrigued to see how he pulls it off. Hopefully Pace doesn't end up being too busy working on the Marvel films.
Man those are c some great writing credits there. Who wouldn't entrust their sequel with them?
I really like that episode because it's so strong thematically, which is important to me when it comes to tv episodes. Abigail's "I see family" line at the end was so simultaneously chilling and heartwarming. It really lost something when it was reduced to just webisodes as well, the killer of the week story-line…
I'm hoping if NBC ever decides to drop it (now that we don't have to worry about season 2) that Netflix will pick it up. Getting to marathon 13 episodes of this show all in one go would be glorious.
Did you catch the unaired episode, Oeuf or Ceuf or whatever it's called? You should find a way to catch up on that if not, I actually thought it was one of the stronger episodes.
FUCK. YES.
Ranking Coen Bros. films is very difficult… until you get past The Big Lebowski. Then it's pretty darn easy.
What about Arrested Development? That is a pretty freaking excellent pilot that delivers a lot of classic jokes right off the bat. I agree that the Community one is pretty awkward and unfunny.
Man that is one awesome preview. It's kind of like a Rorschach test: you stare into the blank space and you eventually see what you want the new Star Wars show to be.
Marnie would probably be Hitchcock's second most personal film, and I would say it's one of his best, so I may be a bit on the side of the hardcore auteurists here. I feel like it's pretty hard to make a case for that movie as one of his worst though, it's certainly much better than anything else he made in the…
Do you have anything in mind for Hitchcock for this claim? I would think Vertigo is the most direct expression of his themes, but maybe I'm not thinking of something else obvious. Or any other examples? I'm trying to think of one aside from this movie and I'm pretty stumped…
I really think you guys need to cut down the length of these cross talk things: I appreciate the idea but the length kind of makes them a chore to read. There's no reason to devote this many words to a 30 minute episode of Friends. This is kind of a problem with tv blogging in general: you're already talking about…
Not that I don't think there were good elements there before season 3, but the pacing, one liners, jokes, and satire don't completely click for me like they do in season 3. That's the point where a funny show becomes a great show for me, whereas in something like Arrested Development all the elements are right there…
Uh yeah, things from the 60's and 70's do tend to look a little racist today. I will admit that the Moffat era can occasionally be a bit uncomfortable in terms of race, though the RTD era was pretty unimpeachable in that regard. This book definitely sounds like it's coming in with a very American attitude to the show…
@OhthePossibilities:disqus Seriously? Sucker Punch is nowhere near as well thought out or complex as Inception… I tend to think of it as Inception for stupid people.
Wait what? Is Mitch Pileggi a magician?
