Bryan Fuller has actually never directed anything professionally, so it's highly unlikely.

That is ridiculously tasteless. Whose family would sign off on this show? Soon everyone's wills will be full of restrictions on how their family may or not profit off their death.

You must be the world's most devoted fan of Zero Hour. That's good news that it made it online though, I'm holding out hope that the fourth episode of Hannibal will as well.
You are definitely not contacting a nearly wide enough pool of people. I think I was in touch with at least like 5 people my first day of internet dating (though I'm gay so I had it a lot easier than the average guy on OK Cupid).
Soooo does anyone know a pretty simple way I can catch up on the banned from the US Hannibal episode they're airing in Canada tonight? I'm hoping it will get put up on the usual streaming sites since they usually put up versions aired in Canada anyway for some reason, but they don't have stuff like the episode of Cult…
Speaking of Pushing Daisies stars, whatever happened to Anna Friel? She only seems to get really thankless supporting roles in mediocre to bad movies. She was really wonderful in Pushing Daisies, I'd like to see her get more work. People really need to make more screwball comedies so she can star in them.
I was the "someone" Miles refers to in the third Stray Observation! Slowly but surely my AVC commenting star is rising.
It's weird how Lee Pace has these tiny roles in all these big ensemble movies lately (Lincoln, Breaking Dawn Part 2, The Hobbit). I guess it was inevitable that he'd make it to the Marvel universe one of these days, hope this is a meatier role than what he's been getting lately. This movie increasingly sounds like it…
@avclub-d72f705337e5adcf7e33ec0381c5f5b2:disqus Oh, I agree his Torchwood work is entirely irredeemable, but I wouldn't think badly about him at all just knowing him from his Who scripts.
He did a terrible job as showrunner for Torchwood but his Who episodes have actually been pretty solid I think, even if none of them are really outstanding (though I have a soft spot for Dinosaurs on a Spaceship). I'm not sure that reputation is deserved, there are several writers who are much worse than him.
I think the way to do it would be to cover each story arc at a time. I seem to remember the show having four or five fairly distinct arcs each season… maybe cover half of one each week or something like that. Not that it would (or should, honestly) ever really happen.
I remember I thought the three part structure and shifting animation styles were bold at the time. Then I got older and realized they just shoved three separate movies together and that my young self was just an idiot.
I really think we're heading for a breakup by the midseason finale. It's kind of unfortunate since I'd prefer to put the relationship roulette on the backburner this season but hopefully it will be well done. I can't say I've ever really bought into Matty and Jenna as a stable long term relationship so at least the…
I haaaaated season three as a kid. It was like the Buffy season six of the Digimon franchise, it took itself way too seriously and wasn't fun. It permanently killed my interest in the franchise (and this is from someone who thought the movie was amazing. Maybe I'll go back and see if it's worthwhile. And season two…
Knowing the internet, this probably already exists, at least in .gif form.
Ugh, that movie was terrible and dull. Really felt like a halfhearted attempt to recreate the magic of Lost in Translation. I adore her first two movies… I love the melancholy tone she creates and I really get lost in the atmosphere of both films. Her last two have fallen flat for me (though I appreciate what Marie…
Seriously, what the fuck was that about? The director's comment says a lot about how ridiculous and unrealistic that scene was. It seemed to only be there so they could call back to it at the end. The introduction of Liotta's character was where the movie really started to lose me: everything involving him seemed to…
@avclub-298673367c6de609ae5970ce1e699c50:disqus I totally agree, I think Moffat is a pretty good showrunner and S5 was by far the best season of the show. He really made the show get it's shit together in terms of production as well: the budget keeps getting cut but the show keeps looking better and better. Generally…
@avclub-90d5fbaba9810f5536422ab00ce1889c:disqus I agree, his voice has been so integral to the reboot right from the beginning (what would the show be now without The Doctor Dances?). It would be sad if he completely gave it up.
