Yeah I don't think the problem is so much that he just hates everything (though he does pretty much) but that he has such random, nitpicky complaints that aren't consistent at all from review to review. His South Park reviews were a good example of this: he'd randomly get weirdly offended at some pretty harmless jokes

Has she? That's kind of sad, I was hoping she'd get into something more prestigious than Adult Swim. I guess those shows don't take a lot of time out the actors' schedules though so she'd still have lots of time for other stuff.

Yeah, but Netflix knows the power of these supernatural tv series. I think they're hoping this will be their True Blood to House of Card's Sopranos (maybe Boardwalk Empire is more accurate), and Arrested Development's Sex and the City.

It's easier to just assume that the puppet episode wasn't canon, and the group told the entire story to the Dean to mess with him or something. That's the only way to redeem that episode as far as I'm concerned.

Actually opinions of Community episodes have always been very polarized, though there's a lot more vitriol when people don't like one now (including myself)

You just sort of have to pick a movie you think is great and love to watch over and over again, as well as something that kind of delineates what your taste in movies is. The problem is it then kind of sticks in your mind as your favorite and it's hard for anything to ever replace it. My "favorite" movie has been

That happened to my boyfriend, he was circumcised about six months before we met (he was 58 then) because his foreskin got tight and started causing him pain. I was circumcised as an infant or whenever they do that so it was kind of interesting to hear about, he was extremely sensitive at first, and still is to some

My friend pointed out an interesting theory and I'm about 90% sure she's correct, though it would be very dark for this show. WARNING, SPECULATIVE SPOILERS: Lyssa accidentally killed Ricky (or thinks she did). She was the one freaking out because his peanut allergy killed him and she didn't know that could happen. She

So… what are the odds that she's actually seen Hannibal and isn't just criticizing it based on the ads? I really have to wonder if she actually watches any shows at all sometimes.

Wow, Amelie has really gone too far this time. Hannibal is more intolerable than a particularly idiotic looking Michael Bay movie that completely Hollywood-izes a very interesting true story, a wrap from McDonald's, and some docu-soap called Married to Medicine? It could easily end up being the best new show this

Yeah I think that's what brought down the episode for me. This show is so weird when it comes to these kinds of issues. Apparently it has a sex positive stance while being very anti-abortion and maintaining that pregnancy is really the responsibility of the woman alone? I don't know if the show is just presenting how

Parks and Rec is on my list for sure, I'm just watching so many shows right now I can't really add one. New Girl I'm still skeptical about just because I didn't really find the characters remotely appealing… I may pick it back up someday but there are a lot of much more interesting sounding comedies out there I

Actually it seems to be the other way around, according to my totally professional research.

I'm sure they will, but probably not for a year or so, kind of like HBO does. They'll want to keep people watching it through their service only for as long as possible.

Which is oddly a pretty new job, basically created by the internet age, at least in the fashion that TV Club does it's coverage. It does seem odd that Todd is so old fashioned and suspicious of innovations in the way that television is distributed, considering that his approach to television is really a very new one.

Have you seen the movie Sassy Pants? It stars Rickards, as well as Anna Gunn and Haley Joel Osment of all people. My friend showed it to me recently on Netflix and I thought it would be terrible, but it was actually one of the best indie comedies I've seen in quite a while. Rickards was really wonderful in it, she

It seems like whenever a network cancels a show they aren't too concerned about hanging on to the brand and intellectual properties, so other networks/cable channels can bid for it. This used to be extremely rare but there seems to be more talk about it lately, as Netflix is rumored to be picking up virtually every

Advertisers don't really care about older demographics though, so that kind of viewership would would be meaningless @avclub-ef062084a1c4a3584af1d4f8e514ea50:disqus .

I think that would actively turn off the average viewer rather than the other way around @avclub-132d6c1408f2492456848667346b54b6:disqus . I'm a pretty big tv nerd and there's still no way I would ever watch that, much less the average layman that just wants to watch something mindless and doesn't care about the

Isn't Anger Management basically the answer to this? Cable networks can just create their own cheap syndicated content, and viewers will watch because it appeals to a certain demographic and nothing else is on. TBS seems to be quickly reaching the point at which it could run off of nothing other than their own shows.
