This is indeed a really unwieldy title. I guess you have to put "Marvel's" in there so people know what the heck it is, and I guess "agents" is to clarify for people who don't remember what S.H.I.E.L.D. is but it's really dumb. Still not as bad 666 Park Avenue though.

The show was really horrible at finding non-Buffy love interests for Angel. Kate and Nina were terrible and boring, and Cordelia felt forced. Weirdly Darla was the only one that actually worked.

MILD SPOILERS Apparently "Entree" is episode 7. It really looks like they'll stick with this title thing throughout the entire season. It'll be interesting to see what they do the episode names if it somehow gets renewed.

I actually think my biggest problem with this was that it exists in that weird no-man's land between adaptation, reboot, and being it's own thing. For instance, Hannibal had nothing to do with Will's investigation into Hobbes, and Will wasn't that disturbed until after that incident. They didn't have this long history

Eh I think Whithouse's turnout has been pretty mediocre. Vampires in Venice is actually probably my favorite episode of his. Though Moffat's certainly not a perfect head writer I am kind of dreading him stepping down, since I really don't see any strong replacements among this regular crop of writers. Cross could be a

Yeah that was the first thing I thought watching it, it looked like a low rent version of that. I really love that sequence in Hellboy 2, there's a ton of great practical effects work in that movie.

I really do not understand the hate for this one at all, it was easily my favorite since "Asylum of the Daleks". It was a very thematically strong episode, with the way the leaf tied into both the beginning and closing of the episode and the parallels the Doctor and the God, and Clara and the Queen of Years. The

Because Todd must review EVERY SHOW apparently. I know it's a side effect of expanding the TV Club on a limited budget and I've gotta admire the guy's dedication, but I feel like it's negatively impacted his output quite a bit now that he's spreading himself so thin.

Doctor Who is pretty low budget compared to most US shows isn't it? I don't think the Beeb really has that much money to throw around comparatively, even for it's flagship.

Whatever they had wings. I haven't seen that movie since it was in theaters.

I really can't imagine even the most strident spoiler-phobe feeling spoiled by this. Admittedly it's not really worth reading since it's basically just fluff discussing the overall show in the most basic possible terms.

I imagine there's an incentive to cooperating with the creator and network's wishes: for instance AMC could stop sending the AVC screeners.

If this is not a full review the complete one will take longer to read than the episode does to watch.

The most ridiculous thing was that it was so long. Even when he basically can't  talk about the thing he's reviewing VanDerWerff turns in 1300 words for some reason.

Eh Fringe is distinctly second class. It was entertaining but there's a lot of better stuff out there. It was the best sci-fi show of it's time pretty much by default though.

@avclub-3be42d8a3412057f79af152555e39bd4:disqus I actually like Muse too, but the way the song is used in that scene is pretty funny.

@avclub-3be42d8a3412057f79af152555e39bd4:disqus Indeed there is a baseball scene, played with vampire super powers and set to Muse's "Supermassive Black Hole". It is gloriously terrible.

I seem to have a knack for forgetting him in everything I've seen him in. I have no recollection of Poseidon appearing in that movie whatsoever… though I don't remember much from Immortals other than that hideous sepia tone color grading and some cool hats.

Heck, I've seen all the Twilight movies and I still have no idea who he is. Probably one of the boring shapeshifter guys I can't tell apart I guess.

Not to mention that it only went off the air less than three months ago.
