So why would that be okay but Community sans Dan Harmon is the work of the devil? Bringing back Firefly without Whedon ten years after it's cancellation would just be kind of sad and pathetic… what would be the point aside from satiating the fans and making money?

Wait, huh? As far as hatesexy/rapey sex scenes on this show go, this was waaaaaay down the list. I didn't really get that vibe from it at all: I just thought it was dull and forced.

Funny that people are saying this, it was the only episode this season that I was laughing at like I did at most episodes of Harmon's Community. I know people say this every week, but this was the only episode where I felt like you could stick it in a previous season and I wouldn't notice anything wildly different. It

I thought the exact same thing. I can't remember the last time we saw her texting someone other than Damon or Stefan. And how did she get that party started using solely her phone? I'm pretty sure everyone would consider her to have become a weird shut in who cut herself off from the world after her parents died and

I wasn't that keen on this episode for the first half or so, but it ended up setting things in place really well for the rest of the season, so it got a lot of points back for that. Still quite a few things here felt forced. First off, I didn't really like the party scene, and Stefan was extremely creepy the whole

I'm sorry but this was a terrible episode, and a B was way too generous. The whole plot was so manufactured and hokey. The CNN meltdown was particularly terrible: it came out of nowhere and was completely out of character for Frank. The show didn't do anything to explain why that happened or what he was going through:

@avclub-e5c6ec19713bb29ed0c5ed7772748abb:disqus Seriously, it is baffling that she moved on from Dawson's Creek to become such an excellent actress (Brokeback Mountain was only a couple years after that show ended). Jen was a seriously dull and unlikable character, and her acting did very little for the character.

@avclub-e57f718840a576abbb40a7d046c4e3b0:disqus What? Who finds Brokeback Mountain offensive…. and why? I can't even imagine, that's easily in my top ten films of the 2000s. It's not really a gay movie though, more just a tragic love story, since I don't think the characters really understand what it is to be gay (at

Brokeback Mountain, Blue Valentine, Meek's Cutoff, Wendy and Lucy, My Week With Marilyn… none of those ringing a bell? She also played Glinda in that Oz movie that just came out and was a regular on Dawson's Creek…

Wouldn't that actually be a pretty big success considering that a large portion of the budget would already be paid for?

Interesting I really disliked her from her role on Mad Men before Girls (seriously, every time she appears in that show my attention instantly wanes) but I really enjoyed her in season 1. Like most of the other characters and performances this year her character has become increasingly irritating and her performance

So Todd's paycheck is somehow proportional to the number of page hits this site gets each week? That sounds unnecessarily complicated.

I think it's because pretty much the only show that gives out more notifications than Girls is Community. There's at least one Newswire on it a week, and back in the first season there were a bunch of articles that used Girls pictures and such to draw people in (often trolls).

Okay, maybe incredible is overstating it, but he blows everyone else on the show out of the water.

Along with Phipps' Twin Peaks reviews (which introduced me to the AVC) and Noel's Buffy reviews, your Glee reviews were what got me into this site and television criticism. Something about Ryan

I don't really think a lot of the actors are that great. Adam Driver is an incredible actor, and will probably be a big star someday, but everyone else seems extremely one note. Don't mistake me, they are all great at hitting that note, but anytime the actors (particularly Dunham or Alison Williams) are asked to carry

What about: For Our Consideration: Why Sergi Lopez is the sexiest actor alive. I just became aware of him (outside of Pan's Labyrinth) recently, and my God he is gorgeous when not playing an insane psychopath. Totally safe for work pic: http://www.directe.cat/imat…

Seriously, 17 episodes?!!! Last year was full of padding at 15. No wonder this season hasn't really gone much of anywhere yet and still feels like it's setting things up.

I really, really wish someone else had written this. As is, the article basically reiterates everything Todd has said about this show in his reviews this season in a condensed form. He's mentioned that pretty much everyone in the office loves the show so couldn't they get a chance to talk about it? I'd love to hear

I thought the storyline was utterly absurd and out of tone with the show, but that Sanjay guy was very well acted (and quite attractive). Are Richard's storylines always going to be the weakest part of the show? That character is starting to feel very inessential, like the writers felt obligated to do storylines about
